ALDEGUER NON SMETTE DI STUPIRE E A SEPANG CONQUISTA LA TERZA POLE CONSECUTIVA
A Sepang, Aldeguer lascia tutti a bocca aperta conquistando la terza pole consecutiva di questa stagione 2023. López invece termina la sua qualifica con il quindicesimo tempo.
Dopo il Gran Premio di Australia e Thailandia, Aldeguer chiude le qualifiche malesiane firmando la sua terza pole position. Con questo risultato, Fermín può affermare di essere il primo pilota nella storia della Moto2 aver ottenuto il primo posto in qualifica per tre volte di fila. Già dalle FP3 del mattino, il pilota 54 del Beta Tools Speedup ha lasciato il segno con un fantastico primo tempo in 2’05.319. Dopo aver dominato l’ultima di libere, Fermín ha dato il 100% anche in Q2 conquistando la pole grazie al crono di 2’05.288 e con oltre mezzo secondo di vantaggio dai due compagni della prima fila.
Giornata più difficile per López che nonostante il buon ritmo non riesce a concludere la giornata in top10. Il madrileño ha concluso le terze prove libere in P13 (2’06.117) della classifica combinata e dopo essere entrato nella Q2 del pomeriggio ha concluso con il quindicesimo tempo in 2’06.641. Alonso partirà domani dalla quinta fila della griglia di partenza.

“Sono contento della giornata di oggi ma ancora di più con il feeling in sella alla Boscoscuro. Queste ultime due gare sono state un crescendo con la mia moto a livello di sensazioni. Ho visto che non faccio molti errori e questo è importante per la gara. Domani potremmo avere la pista tutta per noi e con il ritmo che abbiamo possiamo sicuramente divertirci. Grazie al mio team che continua a lavorare per assicurarmi le migliori condizioni in pista”.
LÓPEZ #21: 15° in 2’06.641
“Non mi aspettavo questo risultato perché ieri il ritmo c’era. Durante i primi giri delle FP3 mi sono sentito competitivo però poi quando ho fatto il cambio gomma non sono riuscito a migliorare il tempo. In qualifica abbiamo provato un setting nuovo e non è andata come pensavamo. Siamo pronti a dare il meglio domani”.
ALDGUER NEVER CEASES TO AMAZE AND TAKES HIS THIRD CONSECUTIVE POLE AT SEPANG
In Sepang, Aldeguer leaves everyone speechless by obtaining the third consecutive pole of this season. On the side of the box, López finishes his qualifying with the fifteenth time.
After the Australian and Thai Grand Prix, Aldeguer closed the Malaysian qualifying by signing his third pole position. With this result, Fermín can claim to be the first rider in the history of Moto2 to have achieved first place in qualifying three times in a row. “I didn’t expect this result because the pace was there yesterday. During the first laps of FP3 I felt competitive but then, when I changed tyres, I wasn’t able to improve my time. In qualifying we tried a new setting and it didn’t go as we thought. We are ready to give our best in tomorrow’s race.”.
