CONDIZIONI MISTE NEL PRIMO GIORNO DEL GP MALESIA: P10 E P16 PER BETA TOOLS SPEEDUP

Il penultimo appuntamento della stagione Moto2 2022 è iniziato oggi con il tanto atteso ritorno al Sepang International Circuit, in Malesia.

La prima prova di libere si è svolta su pista asciutta e con le consuete alte temperature malesiane come alto era il livello di umidità, 89%.

Altro tracciato sconosciuto per Aldeguer, sebbene i risultati non lo dimostrino affatto. Come sempre molto abile nell’apprendere, il numero #54 ha infatti chiuso le FP1 in ottava posizione con il crono di 1’08.314. Nel pomeriggio, dopo pochi minuti dall’inizio delle FP2 un forte temporale ha cambiato totalmente le condizioni della pista e Fermín con un’ottima p3 si è dimostrato veloce anche sul bagnato. P10 alla fine del venerdì malese per la squadra #54 con il crono di 2’08.304.

L’apertura del Gran Premio della Malesia di López è stata invece complicata da una caduta ad inizio della prima sessione in cui il pilota è dovuto a lungo rimanere fermo ai box. Al rientro in pista, nel poco tempo disponibile Alonso è stato veloce ma sfortunato perché una bandiera gialla l’ha tenuto fuori dalla provvisoria Q2 chiudendo in p15 le FP1 in 2’08.695. Dopo soli due giri dallo start delle seconde prove la pioggia ha escluso ogni possibilità per Alonso di abbassare il tempo fermandosi in p16 della classifica combinata.

FERMÍN ALDEGUER #54: 10° in 2’08.304

“Giornata strana, ma alla sono contento perché siamo dentro alla provvisoria Q2. Era importante raggiungere questo risultato oggi in caso di pioggia nelle ultime di libere di domani. Il feeling con la mia moto è buono, dobbiamo migliorare sul bagnato ma abbiamo il piano per domani e speriamo vada bene”.

ALONSO LÓPEZ #21: 16° in 2’08.642

“Oggi siamo stati un po’ sfortunati. Avevamo iniziato bene ma la caduta c’ha impedito di girare per maggior parte delle FP1 e poi quando siamo rientrati in pista il nostro giro più veloce è stato cancellato da una bandiera gialla, un peccato! Ad ogni modo credo che dobbiamo migliorare un po’ perché rispetto ad Augusto siamo più indietro ma di sicuro domani avremo modo di lavorare come sappiamo fare”.

MIXED CONDITIONS IN THE FIRST DAY OF THE MALAYSIAN GP: P10 AND P16 FOR BETA TOOLS SPEEDUP

The penultimate round of the 2022 Moto2 season has begun today with the long-awaited return to the Sepang International Circuit, in Malaysia.

The first free practice session took place on a dry track and with the usual high Malaysian temperatures as high was the humidity level, 89%.

Another unknown track for Aldeguer, although the results do not prove it at all. As always very skilled in learning, the number #54 in fact closed FP1 in eighth position with a time of 1’08.314. In the afternoon, a few minutes after the start of FP2, a sudden downpour completely changed the track conditions and Fermín with an excellent P3 proved to be fast even in the wet. The opening of the Malaysian Grand Prix in López was instead complicated by a crash at the beginning of the first session in which the rider had to remain in the garage for a long time. Upon returning to the track, in the short time available Alonso was fast but unlucky because a yellow flag kept him out of the provisional Q2, finishing FP1 in p15 in 2’08.695. After just two laps from the start of the second session, the rain excluded any possibility for Alonso to lower the time, stopping in p16 of the combined classification.

“A strange day, but I’m happy because we are in the provisional Q2. It was important to achieve this result today in case of rain in tomorrow’s free practice session. The feeling with my bike is good, we need to improve in the wet but we have the plan for tomorrow and we hope it goes well”.

ALONSO LÓPEZ #21: 16^th in 2’08.642

“We were a bit unlucky today. We had started well but the crash prevented us from riding for most of FP1 and then when we got back on track our fastest lap was cancelled by a yellow flag, a shame! In any case, I think we need to improve a bit because we are further behind than Augusto but for sure tomorrow we will be able to work as we know how to do”.
