GRAN PREMIO D’INDIA IN CHIAROSCURO PER IL GT TREVISAN SPEEDUP CHE CHIUDE LA GARA IN P12 E P22
Si è da poco concluso il tredicesimo appuntamento del Campionato Moto 2 che ha visto i piloti del GT Trevisan SpeedUp chiudere l’ultima giornata del Gran Premio d’India in P12 e P22.
Un inizio gara turbolento in cui la direzione è stata costretta a sventolare la bandiera rossa e far rientrare i piloti ai box a causa di un maxi incidente. Con la procedura di quick re-start, i piloti sono poi ripartiti dalle posizioni originarie completando non più 18 ma 12 giri totali. López ha eseguito subito una buona partenza trovandosi dopo poche curve tra i primi cinque. Purtroppo al terzo giro un contatto con Dixon in curva 4 ha condizionato la gara di Alonso che è poi arrivato ventiduesimo al traguardo. A causa dello scontro con il pilota numero 96, la direzione ha imposto ad Alonso una penalità e dovrà così eseguire un doppio long lap nella gara del Gran Premio del Giappone.
Dopo un weekend piuttosto in salita, la squadra 54 è riuscita a concludere la gara in zona punti. Al secondo start, con un’ottima partenza Aldeguer ha recuperato ben otto posizioni balzando da P23 a P15. Un ritmo costante ed una solida performance hanno poi permesso a Fermin di arrivare al traguardo in P12 concludendo a punti un weekend complicato.
LÓPEZ #21: 22
“Avevamo un buon ritmo ma sfortunatamente la gara non è andata come speravamo. Abbiamo fatto una buona partenza e ho proseguito la mia gara nonostante lo scontro con un altro pilota. Ho fatto quello che potevo però ormai avevo perso fin troppo tempo. Continueremo a lavorare!”.
ALDEGUER #54: 12°
“Sono abbastanza contento della gara perché, dato i risultati dei primi giorni, oggi poteva sicuramente andare peggio. Correre in un circuito totalmente nuovo non è sicuramente facile. Ovviamente continueremo a studiare per cercare di fare sempre più progressi”.
INDIAN GRAND PRIX IN CHIAROSCURO FOR THE GT TREVISAN SPEEDUP WHO FINISHED THE RACE IN P12 AND P22
The thirteenth round of the Moto 2 Championship recently ended, which saw the GT Trevisan riders close the last day of the Indian Grand Prix in P12 and P22.
A turbulent start to the race in which the direction was forced to wave the red flag and have the drivers return to the pits due to a major accident. With the quick re-start procedure, the drivers then restarted from their original positions, completing no longer 18 but 12 total laps. López immediately made a good start and found himself in the top five after a few corners. The contact with Dixon in turn 4, however, altered his performance, finishing the race in P22. Unfortunately, due to the collision with driver number 96, the management imposed a penalty on Alonso: double long lap at the next Japanese Grand Prix.
After a rather uphill weekend, team 54 managed to finish the race in the points. At the second start, with an excellent start, Aldeguer recovered eight positions, jumping from P23 to P15. A constant pace and a solid performance then allowed Fermin to reach the finish line in P12, concluding a complicated weekend in the points.
LÓPEZ #21: 22
“We had a good pace but unfortunately the race didn’t go as we hoped. We made a good start and I continued my race despite the collision with another rider. I did what I could but by now I had wasted too much time. We will continue to work!”.
ALDEGUER #54: 12th
“I’m quite happy with the race because, given the results of the first few days, today could certainly have gone worse. Racing on a totally new circuit is definitely not easy. Obviously, we will continue to study to try to make more and more progress”.
