LA PIOGGIA FERMA LA GARA DEL THAI GP E LOPEZ È QUINTO

Quest’oggi, al Chang International Circuit, la gara del Gran Premio di Thailandia della classe Moto2 è stata fermata a causa delle terribili condizioni meteo.

Fino a qualche minuto prima della partenza non una goccia era scesa sul tracciato thailandese. Giusto il tempo di entrare in griglia che la pioggia prevista ha cominciato a scendere costringendo piloti e staff a prepararsi nel poco tempo a disposizione per la gara bagnata.

Al via López parte bene mettendosi alle spalle di Chantra che poco dopo cade a terra e lascia la testa al numero #21 del BETA TOOLS SpeedUp team. Dopo un paio di giri la pioggia si fa più intensa e le condizioni di guida sempre più complicate. Alonso perde qualche posizione ma continua a ritmo sostenuto in quinta posizione fino a quando vede sventolare la bandiera rossa a causa del maltempo. La direzione ha poi dichiarato che non sarebbe stato possibile riprendere la gara Moto2 confermando l’ordine dei piloti in gara come risultato finale del Gran Premio di Thailandia.

Gara sfortunata per Fermín Aldeguer che dopo aver tanto sperato nella pioggia, date le sue abilità anche sul bagnato, non è riuscito a concludere il secondo giro cadendo alla prima curva sorpreso dalle condizioni della pista.

ALONSO LÓPEZ #21: 5°

“Non so dire come sto perché è stata la gara più strana della mia vita. Sembrava dovessimo partire con pista asciutta, ed eravamo molto motivati dopo il feeling avuto nel warm up del mattino, ma poi la situazione si è capovolta ed è stato quel che è stato. Credo che con condizioni migliori avremmo potuto fare davvero un’ottima gara, ma ad ogni modo sono super contento del feeling che ho sopra la moto!”.

FERMÍN ALDEGUER #54: DNF

“Ho passato tutta la notte sperando piovesse e proprio quando è uscita la pioggia ci siamo fatti scappare l’occasione di dimostrare il nostro potenziale anche sul bagnato. Abbiamo commesso un errore da principianti cadendo al secondo giro e devo dire che la fortuna non è dalla nostra parte. Ora non ci resta che ricaricare le batterie e andare in Australia più concentrati di sempre”.

THE RAIN STOPS THE THAI GP RACE AND LOPEZ IS FIFTH

Today, at the Chang International Circuit, the Moto2 Thailand Grand Prix was stopped due to terrible weather conditions.

Until a few minutes before the start, not a drop had fallen on the Thai track. Just the time to enter the grid that the predicted rain began to drop, forcing the riders and staff to get ready in the short time available for the wet race.

López got off to a good start, putting himself behind Chantra who soon fell to the ground and left number #21 of the BETA TOOLS SpeedUp team to lead the race. After a couple of laps the rain became more intense and the driving conditions more and more complicated. Alonso lost a few positions but continues apace in fifth position until he saw the red flag waving due to bad weather. The race direction then stated that it would not be possible to resume the Moto2 race by confirming the order of the riders in the race as the final result of the Thai Grand Prix.

Unlucky race for Fermín Aldeguer who, after having hoped so much in the rain, given his skills also in the wet, was unable to finish the second lap, crashing at the first corner surprised by the track conditions.

ALONSO LÓPEZ #21: 5^th  

“I don’t know how I am because it was the strangest race of my life. It seemed we were starting on a dry track, and we were very motivated after the feeling we had in the morning warm up, but then the situation turned around and that’s what it was. I think that with better conditions we could have had a really good race, but in any case, I’m super happy with the feeling I have on the bike! “.

FERMÍN ALDEGUER #54: DNF

“I spent the whole night hoping it would rain and just when the rain came out we missed the opportunity to show our potential even in the wet. We made a rookie mistake by crashing on lap two and I have to say luck is not on our side. Now we just have to recharge the batteries and go to Australia more focused than ever”.
