LIGHTECH SPEED UP
DOPPIA CADUTA PER IL LIGHTECH SPEEDUP NEL GRAN PREMIO DI SPAGNA E TANTA SFORTUNA!
Il sesto round del Campionato del Mondo Moto2™ a Jerez de la Frontera si è dimostrato un weekend da dimenticare per il LighTech SpeedUp che lascia la Spagna a mani vuote.
Ancora una volta la sfortuna si abbatte su Aldeguer e manda in fumo un weekend quasi perfetto. Anche Fenati cade a terra dopo pochi giri.
Dalla quinta casella della griglia il diciasettenne spagnolo scatta molto bene raggiungendo la terza posizione dopo le prime curve e poi quarta a fine primo giro. Qualche difficoltà ad inizio gara prima di trovare il ritmo in cui Fermin perde posizioni, ma al lap otto è già quinto alle spalle di Fernandez inseguito da Vietti e Dixon combattendo duramente e dimostrando un ritmo eccellente. Nel giro seguente subisce l’attacco dei due e durante l’attacco a Dixon quest’ultimo scivola a terra colpendo Fermin e mettendo fine alla sua corsa al podio del Gran Premio di Spagna.
Una gara complicata per Romano Fenati che si è conclusa dopo soli tre giri con la caduta alla curva nove. Per il numero 5 la voglia di recuperare e di fare bene dopo un weekend di alti e bassi era moltissima ma un errore al quarto giro ha concluso la possibilità di rimontare e di raggiungere l’obiettivo zona punti prefissato di Romano. Entrambi i piloti sono illesi.
FERMÍN ALDEGUER #54: DNF
“Incredibilmente un’altra caduta, la fortuna non è dalla nostra parte. Sono davvero amareggiato perché mi sentivo molto bene con la moto, ma così sono le gare e dobbiamo guardare avanti accumulando esperienza e migliorando soprattutto nella prima parte della gara. Stiamo dimostrando quanto siamo competitivi ad ogni Gran Premio, prendiamo il positivo da questo weekend e continuiamo a lavorare in questa direzione”.
ROMANO FENATI #5: DNF
“Purtroppo il weekend si è concluso male. Abbiamo sempre avuto problemi in frenata e non siamo riusciti a risolverli senza compromettere troppo il feeling che avevamo con il setting studiato venerdì e con il quale mi sono trovavo molto bene. Purtroppo partire dalle retrovie è sempre un terno al lotto nel tentativo di fare una rimonta e nel sorpassare un pilota sono caduto. Impariamo dagli errori per crescere e migliorare già dalla prossima gara”.
DOUBLE DNF FOR THE LIGHTECH SPEEDUP IN THE SPANISH GRAND PRIX AND SO MUCH BAD LUCK!
The sixth round of the Moto2 ™ World Championship in Jerez de la Frontera proved to be a weekend to forget for the LighTech SpeedUp as they leave Spain empty-handed.
Once again bad luck falls on Aldeguer and shatters an almost perfect weekend. Fenati also crashes down after a few laps.
From the fifth spot on the grid, the 17-year-old Spaniard started very well, reaching third position after the first corners and then fourth at the end of the first lap. Some difficulties at the beginning of the race before finding the rhythm in which Fermin lost positions, but on lap eight he was already fifth behind Fernandez chased by Vietti and Dixon fighting hard and demonstrating an excellent pace. On the following lap he suffered the attack of the two and during the attack on Dixon the latter slipped to the ground hitting Fermin and ending his race for the podium of the Spanish Grand Prix.
A complicated race for Romano Fenati which ended after only three laps with the crash at turn nine. For the number 5, the desire to recover and do well after a weekend of ups and downs was very high but a mistake on the fourth lap ended the possibility of recovering and reaching the goal for the points set by Romano. Both riders are unharmed.

“Incredibly another crash, luck is not on our side. I’m really disappointed because I felt very good with the bike, but that’s how the races are and we have to look forward, accumulating experience and improving especially in the first part of the race. We are showing how competitive we are at every race, let’s take the positive from this weekend and continue to work in this direction”.
ROMANO FENATI #5: DNF
“Unfortunately the weekend ended badly. We have always had problems under braking and we have not been able to solve it without compromising too much the feeling we had with the setting studied on Friday and with which I felt very comfortable. Starting from the rear is always a lottery in an attempt to make a comeback and in overtaking a rider I crashed. We learn from mistakes to grow and improve from the next race”.
