MB CONVEYORS SPEEDUP

P6 PER LÓPEZ NEL GRAN PREMIO D’OLANDA, ALDEGUER P11 NONOSTANTE IL LONG LAP PENALTY 

I piloti MB Conveyors SpeedUp hanno concluso l’undicesimo appuntamento del Campionato Mondiale Moto2 al TT Assen circuit in sesta e undicesima posizione.

Solida prestazione di Alonso López che anche in questo Gran Premio ha dimostrato d’essere veloce e competitivo concludendo una gara insidiosa con una soddisfacente sesta posizione. Ottima la partenza del numero 21 che da P5 in griglia è diventata P1 dopo poche curve. Alonso ha primeggiato la prima parte della gara del TT Assen tenendo testa ad un gruppo numeroso di piloti esperti, ma un errore gli ha fatto perdere la prima posizione ritrovandosi a pochi giri dalla fine in p8. Lopez è poi riuscito a mantenere un buon ritmo senza perdere il gruppo arrivando sesto al traguardo.

Anche per Aldeguer una partenza impressionante: da p20 a p12, raggiungendo l’undicesima posizione nel secondo giro che è diventata p10 dopo pochi giri. Al giro 7 è arrivata però la penalità dalla race direction per aver oltrepassato il limite della pista. Nell’eseguire il long lap, Fermín ha perso sei posizioni, dovendo risalire da p16. Con lo stesso ritmo il pilota spagnolo ha continuato la sua gara fino a concludere il suo primo TT Assen nella classe intermedia in undicesima posizione.

Il Campionato Mondiale di Moto2 ritornerà dopo la pausa estiva al Silverstone circuit per il Gran Premio della Gran Bretagna 05/06/07 agosto.

ALONSO LÓPEZ #21: 6°

“Davvero molto contento, mi son divertito un sacco sopra la moto sin dal warm up. Devo dire che è stato bello essere il leader della gara durante i primi giri, poi purtroppo abbiamo commesso alcuni errori, ma stiamo imparando e credo sia normale. Ora la voglia che arrivi presto il momento di tornare in pista è davvero grande anche se dovremo aspettare la fine della lunga pausa estiva. Moltissime grazie al mio team e a tutta la gente che mi sostiene”.

FERMÍN ALDEGUER #54: 11°

“Alla fine sono contento della gara, sapevamo d’essere forti anche se ancora non l’avevamo dimostrato. E niente, un peccato aver preso il long lap perché avremmo sicuramente raggiunto il gruppo di testa, ma ad ogni modo concludiamo questa weekend abbastanza soddisfatti del lavoro svolto. Continueremo a lavorare duramente nella pausa estiva per affrontare le gare mancanti della stagione più preparati che mai”.

P6 FOR LÓPEZ IN THE DUTCH GRAND PRIX, ALDEGUER P11 DESPITE THE LONG LAP PENALTY

MB Conveyors SpeedUp riders finished the eleventh round of the Moto2 World Championship at the TT Assen circuit in sixth and eleventh position.

Solid performance by Alonso López who proved to be fast and competitive in this Grand Prix too, finishing a tricky race with a satisfying sixth position. The start of the number 21 was excellent, from P5 on the grid to P1 after a few corners. Alonso led in the first part of the TT Assen race holding up to a large group of experienced riders, but a mistake made him lose the first position and found himself a few laps from the end in p8. López then managed to maintain a good pace without losing the group by finishing sixth at the finish line.

An impressive start for Aldeguer too: from p20 to p12, reaching the eleventh position in the second lap which became p10 after a few laps. On lap 7, however, the race direction forced him to a long lap penalty for having crossed the track limit. With the long lap, Fermin lost six positions, having to climb up from p16. With the same good pace the Spaniard continued his race until he finished his first TT Assen in the intermediate class in eleventh position.

The Moto2 World Championship will return after the summer break at the Silverstone circuit for the British Grand Prix 05/06/07 August.

ALONSO LÓPEZ #21: 6^th

“Really very happy, I had a lot of fun on the bike since the warm up. I must say that it was nice to be the leader of the race during the first laps, then unfortunately we made some mistakes, but we are learning and I think this is normal. Now the desire to get back on track soon is really great even if we know we will have to wait for the end of the long summer break. Many thanks to my team and to all the people who support me”.

FERMÍN ALDEGUER #54: 11^th

“In the end, I’m happy with the race, we knew we were strong even if we hadn’t shown it yet. And nothing, a shame to have taken the long lap because we would certainly have reached the leading group, but in any case, we concluded this weekend quite satisfied with the work done. We will continue to work hard in the summer break to face the missing races of the season better prepared than ever”.
