QUALIFICHE: ALDEGUER SI SCATENA SOTTO LA PIOGGIA DI MOTEGI

Fermín Aldeguer e la Boscoscuro brillano nelle qualifiche del Gran Premio del Giappone aggiudicandosi la seconda fila nel bel mezzo di un acquazzone.

López scivola a terra nel suo giro più veloce perdendo la possibilità di lottare per le prime posizioni e chiude la seconda giornata al Motegi Circuit in quarta fila.

Con pista bagnata e pioggia costante il numero 54, al suo primo JapaneseGP, ha concluso le FP2 del mattino siglando il primo tempo in 2’05.125. Il giovane spagnolo si è però guadagnato l’accesso diretto alle qualifiche finali con l’undicesima posizione della combinata delle due prove libere grazie al crono ottenuto ieri sull’asciutto. Dopo due giri dall’inizio della quali i piloti sono stati richiamati ai box per bandiera rossa a causa del meteo. Al rientro, nei restanti nove minuti è arrivata la conferma di Aldeguer che con il penultimo giro in 2’05.272 (+0.333) ha sigillato il secondo tempo e così la prima fila.

Anche López si è dimostrato veloce in entrambe le condizioni; nelle ultime di libere ha confermato la settima posizione con il tempo di 2’05.125 a +0.646 passando alle Q2. Il numero 21 del Beta Tools SpeedUp, dopo la bandiera rossa è rientrato in pista veloce da subito e proprio mentre stava abbassando la pole è scivolato a terra concludendo le qualifiche in quarta fila con il dodicesimo tempo in 2’07.443.

“La verità è che sono super contento del risultato di oggi! Ce lo meritiamo, sapevamo d’avere velocità e buon ritmo sul bagnato. Domani sicuramente soffriremo perché la gara sarà su pista asciutta, ma siamo pronti ad affrontare ogni avversità! Non vedo l’ora che arrivi domani!”.

“Sono contento per com’è andata oggi perché il ritmo che avevamo sul bagnato era davvero molto buono, il migliore che abbia mai provato prima. Logicamente mi dispiace per la caduta perché credo che potevamo segnare la pole, ma ad ogni modo le condizioni della pista saranno diverse e ci sentiamo pronti per dare tutto quello che abbiamo!”.

QUALIFYING: ALDEGUER SHINES UNDER MOTEGI’S RAIN

Fermín Aldeguer and Boscoscuro shine in qualifying for the Japanese Grand Prix by taking the second row in the middle of a downpour. López crashes to the ground in his fastest lap losing the chance to fight for the top positions and ends the second day at the Motegi Circuit in the fourth row.

On a wet track and under constant rain, number 54, in his first JapaneseGP, concluded the FP2 in the morning setting the first time in 2’05.125. The young Spaniard, however, obtained direct access to the final qualifying with the eleventh position of the combined rankings thanks to the time set in yesterday’s session. After two laps from the start of the QP the riders were called back to the pits for red flag due to the bad weather. Upon returning on track, Aldeguer’s confirmation arrived in the remaining nine minutes, when he sealed the second time and thus the front row with the penultimate lap of 2’05.272 (+0.333).

López also proved to be fast in both conditions; in the last free practice session he confirmed his seventh position with a time of 2’05.125 to +0.646 passing through Q2. The number 21 of Beta Tools SpeedUp team, after the red flag, returned to the track immediately and just as he was lowering the pole he crashed to the ground finishing the qualifying in the fourth row with the twelfth time in 2’07.443.
