TERZA E SETTIMA FILA PER LÓPEZ E ALDEGUER NELLE QUALIFICHE DEL BRITISH GP

I piloti CAG SpeedUp sono tornati in pista quest’oggi per determinare la posizione in griglia di partenza della gara del Gran Premio della Gran Bretagna, che si terrà domani, in via esclusiva, alle 14.30 ora locale.

La terza di libere è servita alla squadra 21 per provare alcune modifiche all’anteriore che hanno dato al pilota più sicurezza alla guida della Boscoscuro continuando i progressi raggiunti nella giornata di ieri. López ha concluso le tre prove libere con il sesto tempo in 2’04.844 aggiudicandosi così l’accesso diretto alle Q2. Le qualifiche del BritishGP si sono dimostrate più complicate del previsto a causa delle diverse condizioni della pista. Alonso, dopo qualche giro cancellato per bandiera gialla, è riuscito ad estrarre il coniglio dal cappello all’ultimo giro della prova chiudendo con l’ottavo tempo e quindi terza fila in 2’04.697.

Il sabato inglese è stato più difficile per la squadra54 del CAG SpeedUp team. Una caduta verso la fine delle FP3 ha fermato Fermín che ha così concluso le libere in P17 in 2’05.479. Al rientro in pista pronto ad affrontare le Q1, il giovane spagnolo non è riuscito a trovare il giusto feeling per raggiungere le prime posizioni e passare così alla fase successiva classificandosi in ventesima posizione e quindi settima fila.

ALONSO LÓPEZ #21: 8° in 2’04.697

“Sono contento di come sono andate le qualifiche oggi. La verità è che non ho lasciato niente in tasca, ho girato al 100% e più di così non potevo fare. È anche vero che le condizioni della pista sono cambiate e quello che ci è mancato è stato modificare la nostra guida; questo sicuramente ci avrebbe aiutato a fare meglio. Siamo comunque contenti del lavoro svolto e concentrati sulla gara di domani perché con il ritmo che abbiamo possiamo fare bene! Grazie mille alla squadra per quanto fatto finora, continuiamo così!!”.

FERMÍN ALDEGUER #54: 20° in 2’05.227

“Ovviamente non sono molto contento del risultato di oggi. Domani partiamo dalla ventesima posizione, come la gara in Olanda, e dobbiamo trovare tutta la motivazione possibile per tornare a divertirci quando siamo sopra la moto che è quello che ci manca ed è anche la cosa più importante. Dobbiamo cercare di recuperare più posizioni possibili sin dai primi giri e poi dare il massimo fino alla fine come abbiamo sempre fatto. Restiamo fiduciosi”.

THIRD AND SEVENTH ROW FOR LÓPEZ AND ALDEGUER IN THE BRITISH QUALIFYING

The CAG SpeedUp riders returned to the track today to determine the starting grid position of the British Grand Prix, which will be held exclusively tomorrow at 2.30 pm local time.

The third free practice was used by team 21 to try out some changes to the front that gave the rider more confidence driving the Boscoscuro bike, continuing the progress achieved yesterday. López finished the three free practices with the sixth fastest time in 2’04.844, thus gaining direct access to Q2. The BritishGP qualifying was more complicated than expected due to the different track conditions. Alonso, after a few laps canceled by the yellow flag, managed to pull the rabbit out of the hat on the last lap of the QP, finishing with the eighth time and then the third row in 2’04.697.

The English Saturday was more difficult for the CAG SpeedUp team 54. A crash towards the end of FP3 stopped Fermín who thus concluded free practice in P17 in 2’05.479. Upon returning to the track ready to face Q1, the young Spaniard was unable to find the right feeling to reach the top positions and thus move on to the next phase, finishing in twentieth position and therefore seventh row.

“I’m happy with how qualifying went today. The truth is that I didn’t leave anything in my pocket, I shot 100% and I couldn’t do more than that. It is also true that the track conditions have changed and what we missed was to change our driving; this surely would have helped us to do better. However, we are happy with the work done and focused on tomorrow’s race because with the pace we have we can do well! Thanks a lot to the team for what they have done so far, let’s continue like this!!”.

“Obviously I’m not very happy with today’s result. Tomorrow we start from the twentieth position, like the race in Holland, and we have to find all the motivation possible to get back to having fun when we are on the bike which is what we miss and is also the most important thing. We have to try to recover as many positions as possible from the first laps and then give our all to the end as we have always done. We keep confident”.
