QUALIFICHE: LÓPEZ AD UN PASSO DALLA POLE, ALDEGUER DODICESIMO

Alonso López e Fermín Aldeguer partiranno domani rispettivamente dalla prima e quarta fila della griglia di partenza del Gran Premio d’Austria.

Durante l’ultima sessione di libere il numero 21 del team CAG SpeedUp dopo alcune prove sulla messa a punto si è concentrato sul passo gara e con l’undicesimo tempo della classifica combinata ha ottenuto l’accesso diretto alle Q2. In qualifica, veloce sin da subito, con un ottimo crono di 1’33.981 López si prende per la sua prima volta la prima fila chiudendo le qualifiche del Gran Premio d’Austria in seconda posizione.

Aldeguer salva il suo sabato dopo la caduta che ha compromesso le FP3 e quindi l’accesso diretto alle Q2. Sedicesimo nella classifica combinata delle prove libere in 1’34.582 (+0.566), Fermín ha poi concluso le Q1 con il terzo tempo in 1’34.523 passando così alle qualifiche finali. Nei quindici minuti a disposizione il numero 54 ha migliorato ancora una volta il suo tempo giro concludendo le qualifiche in quarta fila con il dodicesimo tempo in 1’34.421 a soli +0.488 dalla pole.

ALONSO LÓPEZ #21: 2° in 1’33.981

“Ovviamente, sono molto contento delle qualifiche di oggi, davvero non mi aspettavo di arrivare secondo. Alla fine sono riuscito a fare un buon giro e chiudere in prima fila. Mi sento bene anche se dobbiamo sistemare un paio di cose per domani ma siamo preparati per fare un’ottima gara domani!”.

FERMÍN ALDEGUER #54: 12° in 1’34.421

“Piano piano le sensazioni stanno cambiando in meglio. Una caduta questa mattina mentre eravamo veloci ci ha fatto perdere il ritmo e siamo così passati per le Q1. L’obiettivo era passare alle Q2 e fortunatamente con un buon tempo ce l’abbiamo fatta. Poi in Q2 le sensazioni non erano del tutto ottimali ma abbiamo fatto il possibile per concludere bene la quali. Alla fine partiamo dodicesimi domani e con un ritmo abbastanza buono che cercheremo di migliorare durante il warm up”.

QUALIFYING: LÓPEZ ONE STEP AWAY FROM THE POLE, ALDEGUER TWELFTH

Alonso López and Fermín Aldeguer will start tomorrow respectively from the first and fourth row of the starting grid of the Austrian Grand Prix.

During FP3 the number 21 of the CAG SpeedUp team focused on the race pace After some tests on the set-up and with the eleventh time in the combined free practice times he obtained direct access to Q2. In qualifying, fast from the start, López took the front row for his first time, finishing second place in qualifying for the Austrian Grand Prix with an excellent time of 1’33.981.

Aldeguer saved his Saturday after the crash that compromised FP3 and therefore direct access to Q2. “Obviously, I’m very happy with today’s qualifying, I really didn’t expect to finish second. In the end I managed to do a good lap and finish in the front row. I feel good even though we have to fix a couple of things for tomorrow but we are prepared to have a great race tomorrow!”.

FERMÍN ALDEGUER #54: 12^th in 1’34.421

“Slowly the sensations are changing for the better. A crash this morning while we were fast made us lose our pace and we moved on to Q1. The goal was to move to Q2 and luckily we made it with a good time. Then in Q2 the sensations were not entirely optimal but we did everything possible to conclude them well. In the end we start twelfth tomorrow and with a good enough pace that we will try to improve during the warm up”.
