ALDEGUER E LÓPEZ CHIUDONO IN P1 E P17 LA PRIMA GIORNATA DI LIBERE DEL QATARGP
É da poco giunta al termine la prima giornata del Gran Premio del Qatar che oggi ha dato il via al Campionato Mondiale Moto2 della stagione 2024.
Al Lusail International Circuit, Fermín Aldeguer e Alonso López hanno chiuso le prime prove libere rispettivamente in P1 e in P17.
La prima sessione, che da nuovo regolamento non è più considerata valida per la qualificazione, è stata chiusa dal giovane murciano con il primo tempo in 1’58.373.
Durante questa prova, il numero 54 ha provato i due tipi di mescola per capire quale potesse essere la più adatta ad affrontare le alte temperature dell’asfalto. Nelle FP1, la squadra 54 avrebbe continuato a lavorare sul cambio della tipologia di pneumatici ma sfortunatamente, la pioggia ha impedito di girare in modo sicuro.
Il compagno di box, ha iniziato e concluso la Free Practice con la gomma dura con cui però non è riuscito a stampare il tempo. Lpez infatti ha chiuso il venerdì in P17 con il crono di 1’59.202 senza scendere in pista per le FP1 a causa delle condizioni meteo.

“Oggi non mi sono sentito proprio al 100% con la moto. Le sensazioni sono comunque buone soprattutto con gli pneumatici duri che sono quelli con cui ho fatto il tempo nelle FP. Mi dispiace non aver girato nella seconda sessione ma adesso siamo concentrati a fare bene domani per poterci qualificare”.

“Un giorno particolare perchè non ci aspettavamo la pioggia in Qatar e questo non ci ha permesso di attaccare e fare il tempo nelle FP1. Domani sarà una giornata interessante e noi non vediamo l’ora di scendere in pista”.

ALDEGUER AND LÓPEZ FINISH IN P1 AND P17 THE FIRST DAY OF PRACTICE OF THE QATARGP
The first day of the Qatar Grand Prix has just come to an end, which today kicked off the Moto2 World Championship of the 2024 season.
At the Lusail International Circuit, Fermín Aldeguer and Alonso López ended the first free practice sessions in P1 and P17 respectively.
The first session, which under the new regulations is no longer considered valid for qualification, was closed by the young Murcian with the first time of 1’58.373.
During this session, number 54 tried the two types of compound to understand which could be the most suitable for dealing with the high temperatures of the asphalt. In FP1, the 54 team would continue to work on changing tire types but, unfortunately, the rain made it impossible to ride safely.
His garage mate started and concluded the Free Practice with the hard tire but he was unable to set a time with it. In fact, López ended Friday in P17 with a time of 1’59.202 without taking to the track for FP1 due to the weather conditions.

“Today I didn’t really feel 100% with the bike. However, the sensations are good, especially with the hard tires which are the ones I did my time with in FP. I’m disappointed not to have lapped in the second session but now we’re focused on doing well tomorrow to be able to qualify”.

“A particular day because we didn’t expect rain in Qatar and this didn’t allow us to attack and set the time in FP1. Tomorrow will be an interesting day and we can’t wait to get on track”.
