PROVE LIBERE: SECONDA E DECIMA POSIZIONE PER LÓPEZ E ALDEGUER AL THAILAND GRAND PRIX

Anche questo weekend la Moto2 è in azione per il terzo Gran Premio consecutivo e dopo anni fa ritorno al Chang International Circuit, a Buriram, Thailandia.

Prima giornata positiva per il team Beta Tools SpeedUp che ha chiuso il venerdì thailandese con il secondo tempo di Alonso López ed il decimo di Fermín Aldeguer a +0.173 e +0.761 dal primo della classifica.

Per il numero #21 è stato un inizio complicato da problemi tecnici che l’hanno costretto a rientrare ai box dopo il primo giro. Alonso è poi riuscito a tornare in pista nei dieci minuti finali della prima prova con gomme slick chiudendo in p21 in 1’38.204. Notevole il suo miglioramento durante le FP2; già dopo pochi giri ha dimostrato ritmo e velocità concludendo la prima giornata di libere in 2° posizione in 1’36.453 segnato durante il dodicesimo giro.

Ancora una volta Fermín ha incontrato una pista a lui sconosciuta dimostrando di sapersi adattare molto velocemente. Le condizioni miste del mattino hanno complicato l’inizio delle FP1 del numero #54 che dopo un pit-stop ai box per il cambio gomme in slick ha concluso la prova in p18 in 1’37.943. Il feeling con la pista è migliorato durante fp2 e con il tempo di 1’37.041 Fermín e la sua squadra si sono confermati in top ten con il 10° posto e l’accesso provvisorio alle Q2 di domani.

ALONSO LÓPEZ #21: 2° in 1’36.453

“La giornata è andata molto bene dopo che siamo riusciti a risolvere i problemi tecnici del mattino. Sono molto contento del risultato finale poiché durante la prima sessione non sono quasi potuto entrare e questo pomeriggio invece abbiamo recuperato il feeling di sempre. Per domani speriamo di continuare così, credo che sia su pista asciutta che bagnata possiamo girare molto veloci. Grazie mille al team per tutto il lavoro che ha fatto!”.

FERMÍN ALDEGUER #54: 10° in 1’37.041

“Sono contento del risultato ottenuto oggi, anche sul bagnato siamo andati abbastanza forte nonostante fosse la prima volta per me in questo circuito. Su pista asciutta la sensazione era più o meno buona tanto che alla fine della giornata siamo riusciti ad entrare in Q2 e questo è l’importante. Se continuiamo a lavorare così sarò facile migliorarsi”.

FREE PRACTICES: SECOND AND TENTH POSITION FOR LÓPEZ AND ALDEGUER AT THE THAILAND GRAND PRIX

Moto2 is in action again this weekend for the third consecutive Grand Prix and after years it has returned to the Chang International Circuit, in Buriram, Thailand.

First positive day for Beta Tools SpeedUp team which closed Thai Friday with the second time of Alonso López and the tenth of Fermín Aldeguer at +0.173 and +0.761 from the first in the standings.

For number #21 it was a complicated start due to technical problems that forced him to pit after the first lap. Alonso then managed to get back on track in the final ten minutes of the first session on slick tires, finishing in p21 in 1’38.204. His improvement during FP2 is remarkable; after just a few laps he showed pace and speed, finishing the first day of free practice in 2nd position in 1’36.453 scored during the twelfth lap.

Once again Fermín encountered a track unknown to him proving to be able to adapt very quickly. The mixed conditions in the morning complicated the start of FP1 for number #54 who, after a stop at the garage and a slick tire change, concluded the session in p18 in 1’37.943. The feeling with the track improved during fp2 and with a time of 1’37,041 Fermín and his team confirmed themselves in the top ten with 10th place and provisional access to tomorrow’s Q2.

ALONSO LÓPEZ #21: 2^nd in 1’36.453

“The day went very well after we managed to solve the technical problems in the morning. I am very happy with the final result because during the first session I was hardly able to enter and this afternoon we have recovered the usual feeling. For tomorrow we hope to continue like this, I think we can lap very fast both on dry and wet track. Thanks a lot to the team for all the work they have done!”.

FERMÍN ALDEGUER #54: 10^th in 1’37.041

“I am happy with the result obtained today, even in the wet we went quite fast despite it being the first time for me at this circuit. On a dry track the feeling was more or less good, so much so that at the end of the day we managed to get into provisional Q2 and this is the important thing. If we continue to work like this, it will be easy to improve”.
