QUALIFICHE QATARGP: LÓPEZ SFIORA LA POLE POSITION MENTRE ALDEGUER CHIUDE IN P10
La seconda giornata del primo gran premio della stagione 2024 si è conclusa con un sensazionale secondo posto per López e una decima posizione per Aldeguer. Il Sync SpeedUp Team scatterà domani in gara dalla prima e dalla quarta fila della griglia di partenza.
Un inizio giornata impegnativo per Alonso che nelle FP2 ha chiuso la sessione in tredicesima posizione in 1’57.908. Il numero 21 ha poi messo in mostra le sue doti in sella alla Boscoscuro, sfiorando la pole per soli +0.102 dal primo con il crono di 1’56.890. Alonshow ha quindi chiuso la giornata ottenendo il secondo posto in classifica e domani comincerà la sua gara partendo dalla prima linea.
Nelle prove libere 2, Aldeguer è riuscito a tenere alto il ritmo fino a conquistare la quarta posizione con il tempo di 1’57.557. Un ritmo decisivo che, nonostante promettesse ottimi risultati in vista delle qualifiche, durante la Q2 Fermín non è riuscito a completare il suo giro più veloce, chiudendo settimo in 1’57.362. Purtroppo la situazione è cambiata ulteriormente dopo la decisione della direzione gara di penalizzarlo di tre posizioni sulla griglia di partenza per aver rallentato e dato fastidio ad Arenas nel corso della Q2. Con la decima posizione, domani il numero 54 scatterà dalla quarta fila dello schieramento.

“Sono partito sicuro in sella alla Boscoscuro ma non me l’aspettavo di sfiorare la pole, e con così poco distacco da Canet. Il ritmo era molto buono e per domani sono sicuro che possiamo fare una buona gara”.
FERMÍN ALDEGUER #54: 10° in 1’57.362
“Sono partito con l’idea di conquistare la pole. Potevamo entrare benissimo nella top3 però non siamo riusciti a concludere il giro veloce. Ora bisogna liberare la mente e concentrarsi per fare una grande rimonta domani”.
QATARGP QUALIFYING: LÓPEZ COMES CLOSE TO THE POLE POSITION WHILE ALDEGUER FINISHES IN P10
The second day of the first grand prix of the 2024 season ended with a sensational second place for López and a tenth position for Aldeguer. The Sync SpeedUp Team will start tomorrow from the first and fourth rows of the starting grid.
A challenging start to the day for Alonso who closed the session in thirteenth position in FP2 in 1’57.908. The number 21 then showed off his skills on the Boscoscuro, coming close to pole by just +0.102 from the first with a time of 1’56.890. Alonshow therefore closed the day by obtaining second place in the standings and tomorrow he will start his race starting from the front line.
During free practice 2, Aldeguer was able to keep the rhythm high until he achieved fourth position with a time of 1’57.557. A decisive pace which, despite promising great results for qualifying, during Q2 Fermín was unable to complete his fastest lap, finishing seventh in 1’57.362. Unfortunately, the situation changed after the race direction’s decision to penalize him by three positions on the starting grid for having slowed down and bothered Arenas during Q2. With tenth position, the number 54 will start from the fourth row of the grid tomorrow.
