P2 E P12 PER IL BETA TOOLS SPEEDUP NELLA PRIMA GIORNATA DEL GRAN PREMIO DELLA MALESIA
Al Sepang International Circuit, il Beta Tools SpeedUp è sceso in pista per affrontare il diciottesimo appuntamento della stagione 2023, ovvero la penultima tappa fuori Europa.
Dopo la prima giornata di prove libere, Fermín Aldeguer e Alonso López si sono piazzati rispettivamente in P2 e P12 della classifica combinata.
Un ottimo inizio per il numero 54 che ancora una volta ha dimostrato di essere in gran forma. Eccellente risultato per Fermín a fine FP1 in cui ha continuato ad abbassare il suo crono fino a schiacciare all’ultimo giro della sessione il suo miglior risultato in 2’06.183, conquistando così il primo posto della classifica. Nonostante nel pomeriggio non ci sia stata nessun abbassamento di crono, Aldeguer ha tenuto stretto la sua posizione nella top3 concludendo la prima giornata malesiana in P2 della classifica combinata.
Alonso invece ha chiuso le FP1 in quattordicesima posizione con il crono di 2’07.485, dopo che una bandiera gialla ha sfortunatamente cancellato il suo miglior giro. Nella seconda di libere, il numero 21 è riuscito ad abbassare il tempo del mattino nonostante una gomma difettosa chiudendo la sessione in P12 della classifica combinata con 2’06.822.

“Sono contento della prima giornata qui in Malesia. Questa mattina ho fatto un ottimo ultimo giro mentre questo pomeriggio ho fatto un errore verso la fine sbagliando nel terzo settore. Ma va bene, perché dagli errori comprendiamo quali sono i limiti e non possiamo fare altro che lavorarci per fare bene domani in qualifica. Adesso è importante continuare su questa strada”.
LÓPEZ #21: 12° in 2’06.822
“Oggi abbiamo avuto un ritmo molto elevato e competitivo. Con il cambio gomme durante le FP2, abbiamo trovato una gomma difettosa con cui ovviamente non ho potuto fare un tempo migliore. Nonostante ciò, sono super positivo per la giornata di domani”.
P2 AND P12 FOR BETA TOOLS SPEEDUP ON THE FIRST DAY OF THE MALAYSIAN GP
At the Sepang International Circuit, the Beta Tools SpeedUp took to the track to face the eighteenth round of the 2023 season, the penultimate stage overseas.
After the first day of free practice, Fermín Aldeguer and Alonso López placed themselves in P2 and P12 respectively in the combined standings.
An excellent start for the number 54 who once again demonstrated that he is in great shape. Excellent result for Fermín at the end of FP1 in which he continued to lower his time until crushing on the last lap of the session his best result in 2’06.183, thus taking first place in the standings. Although there was no lowering of the time in the afternoon, Aldeguer held on to his position in the top3, concluding the first Malaysian day in P2.
On the other hand, Alonso ended FP1 in fourteenth position with a time of 2’07.485, after a yellow flag unfortunately canceled his best lap. In the second free practice, the number 21 managed to lower his morning time despite a defective tyre, closing the session in P12 of the combined standings with 2’06.822.

“I’m happy with how the first day went here in Malaysia. This morning I did an excellent last lap while this afternoon I made a mistake towards the end of the session in the third sector. But that’s okay, because from the mistakes we understand what the limits are and we can’t do anything but work on them to do well tomorrow in qualifying. Now it is important to continue on this path”.

“Today we had a very high and competitive pace. With the tire change during FP2, we found a defective tire with which I obviously couldn’t set a better time. Despite this, I’m super positive for tomorrow”.
