QUALIFICHE: NAVARRO IN PRIMA FILA CON IL TERZO TEMPO. QUINTA FILA PER IL GIOVANE ALDEGUER
Jorge Navarro torna a prendersi la prima fila della griglia di partenza e lo fa sul circuito toscano del Gran Premio d’Italia. Il giovane Fermín Aldeguer continua a stupire chiudendo le qualifiche con il quindicesimo tempo.
Al termine della terza sessione di libere, Navarro ha ottenuto l’accesso diretto alle Q2 con l’undicesimo tempo in 1’51.710 segnato durante le FP2 del venerdì. Le qualifiche della Moto2 iniziano con tempo incerto. Subito veloce, Navarro dopo pochi giri si è posizionato tra i primi. La decisione del cambio gomma si è rivelata fondamentale perché al rientro in pista ha segnato il terzo miglior tempo in 1’51.097, aggiudicandosi la prima fila.
Giornata incredibile anche per Fermín che emoziona tutti al suo debutto nella classe Moto2 del Campionato Mondiale. Aldeguer ha chiuso le prove libere con il diciannovesimo tempo sfiorando di soli due decimi l’accesso diretto alle Q2. Il giovane spagnolo ha superato le Q1 con un ottimo primo tempo in 1’51.710 segnato al terzo giro. Nelle qualifiche finali, sebbene qualche problema con la gomma posteriore, Fermín si prende il quindicesimo tempo in 1’52.191 e così la quinta fila nella gara di domani.

“Sono davvero contento d’essere tornato in prima fila. Questa mattina durante l’ultima di libere ci siamo accorti che dovevamo migliorare qualcosa sulla moto così prima delle QP abbiamo apportato delle modifiche, che in qualifiche si sono rivelate fondamentali. Il feeling con la moto è migliorato molto e sono felice d’essere riuscito a trovare un giro veloce che ci ha portato in prima fila! Non vedo l’ora arrivi domani per dimostrare il nostro potenziale!”.

“Sono molto contento di questa mia prima qualifica al mondiale di Moto2, è una soddisfazione immensa stare nei primi 15. Mi dispiace non aver approfittato della Q2 perché a causa di uno pneumatico difettoso non ho potuto spingere di più. Mi sento preparato per la gara domani, sono pronto a dare il massimo!”.

Jorge Navarro back to take the front row of the starting grid and does so on the Tuscan circuit of the Italian Grand Prix. The young Fermín Aldeguer continues to amaze by closing qualifying with the fifteenth time.
At the end of the third free practice session, Navarro gained direct access to Q2 with the eleventh fastest time in 1’51.710 scored during FP2 on Friday. Moto2 qualifying started with uncertain weather. Immediately fast, after a few laps Navarro placed himself among the first. The decision to change the tire proved to be fundamental because on his return to the track he set the third best time in 1’51.097, winning the front row.
An incredible day also for Fermin who thrilled everyone on his debut in the Moto2 class of the World Championship. Aldeguer closed the free practice with the nineteenth fastest time, touching direct access to Q2 by just two tenths. The young Spaniard made it through Q1 with an excellent first time of 1’51.710 scored on the third lap. In final qualifying, despite some problems with the rear tire, Fermín took the fifteenth time in 1’52.191 and thus the fifth row in tomorrow’s race.

“I’m really happy to be back in the front row. This morning during the last free practice session we realized that we had to improve something on the bike so before the QP we made some changes, which proved to be fundamental in qualifying. The feeling with the bike has improved a lot and I’m happy to be able to find a fast lap that brought us to the front row! I’m looking forward to tomorrow to demonstrate our potential!”.
