LÓPEZ CHIUDE LA PRIMA GIORNATA DEL GP DI ARGENTINA IN P2, MENTRE VIETTI IN P23

Dopo due anni dall’ultimo GP d’Argentina, il Team HDR Heidrun è tornato sul circuito di Termas de Río Hondo per affrontare il secondo round della stagione 2025. La prima giornata ha visto due risultati contrastanti: da un lato, un Alonso López che conquista la seconda posizione nonostante una caduta, e dall’altro, un Celestino Vietti che conclude in ventitreesima posizione dopo una sessione sfortunata.

Alonso, che già nel 2023 si era distinto sulla pista argentina con pole position, record del circuito e un secondo posto in gara, ha mostrato ancora una volta il suo straordinario feeling con il tracciato. Con un ottimo 1’41.873, il pilota madrileno ha ottenuto il secondo tempo della Practice, garantendosi l’accesso diretto in Q2. Nonostante la caduta in curva 4 a meno di due minuti dalla fine della sessione, da cui fortunatamente ne è uscito illeso, il risultato finale non è stato compromesso. López ha così l’opportunità di replicare il successo di due anni fa e puntare alle prime file della griglia.

Per Celestino, invece, il venerdì si è rivelato più difficile del previsto. La sessione di Practice è stata interrotta più volte da bandiere gialle che hanno impedito al pilota italiano di completare un giro veloce. Il day 1 per Celin si è concluso con una ventitreesima posizione in 1’43.170 che lo esclude momentaneamente dalla Q2 di domani.

ALONSO LÓPEZ #21: 2° in 1’41.873

“È stata una caduta piuttosto brutta oggi, ma fortunatamente sto bene. Non mi capitava di cadere in quel modo da tanto tempo. Nonostante questo, sono riuscito a chiudere un giro veloce e a dimostrare ancora una volta che questo circuito mi permette di essere molto competitivo. Avevo ancora due giri disponibili prima della caduta e con il feeling che ho, credo che avrei potuto fare due crono migliori di quello con cui ho terminato la giornata. Domani sono sicuro di poter fare bene in Q2 e puntare dunque alle prime file”.  

CELESTINO VIETTI #13: 23° in 1’43.170

“Purtroppo non sono riuscito a completare un giro che mi permettesse di entrare in Q2. È un peccato, perché abbiamo il potenziale per farlo. Oggi siamo stati un po’ sfortunati tra qualche errore mio, le bandiere gialle e la sessione anticipata per la bandiera rossa, che mi hanno impedito di sfruttare appieno il nostro potenziale. Tuttavia, ci sono aspetti positivi: non siamo lenti e c’è ampio margine di miglioramento. Domani lavorerò per perfezionare la guida e darò il massimo per cercare di passare dalla Q1 alla Q2”.

LÓPEZ ENDS THE FIRST DAY OF THE ARGENTINA GP IN P2, WHILE VIETTI FINISHES P23

After two years away from the Argentina GP, Team HDR Heidrun returned to the Termas de Río Hondo circuit for the second round of the 2025 season. The first day brought mixed results: on one hand, Alonso López secured an impressive second position despite a crash, while on the other, Celestino Vietti ended the day in 23rd after an unlucky session.

Alonso, who already stood out on the Argentinian track in 2023 with a pole position, lap record, and second place in the race, once again showcased his incredible connection with this circuit. With a strong 1’41.873, the Spanish rider claimed the second-fastest time of the Practice session, earning direct access to Q2. Despite a crash at Turn 4 with less than two minutes remaining — from which he fortunately walked away unscathed — his final result remained unaffected. López now has the chance to replicate his success from two years ago and aim for a front-row start.

For Celestino, however, Friday proved more challenging than expected. The Practice session was repeatedly interrupted by yellow flags, preventing the Italian rider from completing a clean fast lap. Day 1 ended with a 23rd-place finish in 1’43.170, leaving him temporarily out of tomorrow’s Q2.

ALONSO LÓPEZ #21: 2nd in 1’41.873

“It was quite a big crash today, but luckily I’m okay. It’s been a long time since I’ve had a fall like that. Despite it, I managed to complete a fast lap and show once again that not only do I love this track, but it also allows me to be very competitive. I still had two laps available before the crash, and with the feeling I have with my Boscoscuro, I believe I could have set two even faster times than the one I ended the day with. I’m confident I can do well in Q2 tomorrow and aim for one of the top three rows”.

“Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to complete a lap that would get me into Q2. It’s a shame because we have the potential to be there. Today we were a bit unlucky — between a few mistakes on my part, the yellow flags, and the session being cut short due to the red flag, I couldn’t make the most of our potential. However, there are positives: we’re not slow, and there’s plenty of room for improvement. Tomorrow, I’ll focus on refining my riding and give it my all to try and fight my way from Q1 into Q2”.
