QUALIFICHE: NONA E DECIMA FILA PER NAVARRO E MONTELLA NEL GRAN PREMIO DI STIRIA

I piloti del LighTech Speed Up team Jorge Navarro e Yari Montella hanno terminato le qualifiche del Gran Premio di Stiria classificandosi in p25 e p30.

Non il miglior sabato per piloti e team nel quale non sono riusciti a trovare il setting delle loro moto e a centrare quindi le qualifiche.

Nelle ultime prove di libere sia Navarro che Montella non si sono qualificati nei primi 14 perdendo così la possibilità di poter accedere direttamente alle Q2. Solo Montella ha migliorato il suo tempo del venerdì in 1’29.916, ma non è bastato e insieme a Jorge ha quindi affrontato le Q1.   

Diverse prove son state eseguite da entrambe le squadre per capire come risolvere le difficoltà ma i progressi raggiunti non hanno portato ad una buona qualifica. Nona e decima fila per squadra9 e squadra5 nelle qualifiche al Red Bull Ring.    

JORGE NAVARRO #9: 25^° in 1’29.785

“È un fine settimana complicato. Siamo fuori strada e sicuramente le due cadute non ci hanno aiutato a migliorare il feeling. Ad ogni modo, dobbiamo guardare avanti e cercare di ricavare il meglio da ogni situazione, positiva o negativa che sia. Spero che questi dati ci servano per affrontare una buona gara domani o in quella della prossima settimana”.

YARI MONTELLA #5: 30^° in 1’30.354

“Giornata un po’ nera perché non siamo riusciti a trovare una soluzione ai nostri problemi. Questa mattina le FP3 non sono andate come speravamo a causa anche di una scivolata a metà prova e in qualifica purtroppo hanno annullato l’unico giro buono che avevamo fatto, finendo così a fine classifica. Domani sarà una gara lunga ma cercheremo di guadagnare quante più possibili posizioni sin dalla partenza. Sfrutteremo il warm up per provare delle modifiche che speriamo possano darci più fiducia nella guida”.

QUALIFYING: NINTH AND TENTH ROW FOR NAVARRO AND MONTELLA IN THE GRAND PRIX OF STYRIA

LighTech Speed ​​Up riders Jorge Navarro and Yari Montella finished the Grand Prix of Styria qualifying in p25 and p30.

Not the best Saturday for riders and teams in which they were unable to find the setting of their bikes and therefore to get in the Q2.

In the last free practice sessions, both Navarro and Montella did not qualify in the top 14, thus losing the possibility of having direct access to Q2. Only Montella improved his time on Friday in 1’29.916, but it was not enough and, together with Jorge, he faced Q1.

Several changes were carried out by both teams to understand how to solve the difficulties but the progress achieved did not lead to a good qualifying finishing with ninth and tenth rows for team9 and team5.

JORGE NAVARRO #9: 25^th in 1’29.785

“It’s a complicated weekend. We are barking up the wrong tree and certainly the two crashes did not help us to improve the feeling. Either way, we need to look ahead and try to make the most of every situation, be it positive or negative. I hope we need these data to face a good race tomorrow or next week”.

YARI MONTELLA #5: 30^th in 1’30.354

“I am not happy with today because we couldn’t find a solution to our problems. This morning the FP3 did not go as we had hoped due also to a crash in the middle of the test and in qualifying unfortunately, they cancelled the only good lap we had done, thus ending up at the end of the standings. Tomorrow will be a long race but we will try to gain as many positions as possible from the start. We will use the warm up to try some changes that we hope will give us more confidence in driving”.
