NAVARRO IN TOP TEN E MONTELLA VENTESIMO AL SUO DEBUTTO NEL MONDIALE
Al circuito Internazionale di Losail si è appena concluso il primo e tanto atteso appuntamento del Campionato Mondiale Moto2 2021. I piloti del team MB Conveyors SpeedUp terminano i venti giri della gara del Gran Premio del Qatar in decima e ventesima posizione.
Condizioni diverse quelle affrontate nella gara di oggi da Navarro e Montella, caratterizzate da vento e temperature più basse degli altri giorni. Dopo una buona partenza, Jorge cerca di non perdere posizioni e fino al tredicesimo giro mantiene un ritmo costante in ottava posizione. Cerca poi di gestire al meglio la mancanza di grip ma ad ostacolare il pilota della squadra 9 è un dolore al braccio destro che gli impedisce di attaccare tagliando il traguardo in decima posizione.
Positiva la prestazione di Yari Montella che dopo un inizio gara complicato riesce a migliorare notevolmente il feeling con la Boscoscuro aumentando il ritmo. Il pilota salernitano termina con il ventesimo posto la sua prima gara del mondiale.
JORGE NAVARRO #9: 10°
“Prima gara conclusa e la verità è che non è stata per niente facile. Da metà gara in poi ho avuto problemi di grip, ma soprattutto un dolore al braccio destro che mi ha ostacolato davvero molto. Dobbiamo guardare il lato positivo di questo primo weekend iniziato davvero in salita in cui io e la mia squadra siamo riusciti a gestire bene i problemi e a finire in top ten. Analizzeremo la gara individuando i punti da migliorare per essere pronti alla prossima sfida sempre qui al circuito di Losail”.
YARI MONTELLA #5: 20°
“Impressioni positive, sono abbastanza contento di questa mia prima gara. Non abbiamo iniziato bene, ho commesso degli errori di guida, ma verso la fine ho iniziato a cambiare e a spingere dove dovevo spingere ed è andata meglio, abbiamo girato con tempi migliori che per ora ci soddisfano. Sono contento anche se siamo ancora lontani dalle buone posizioni, ma sono fiducioso per la prossima perché so che ripartiremo da questa base e che quindi possiamo solo migliorare”.
NAVARRO IN TOP TEN AND TWENTIETH PLACE FOR MONTELLA IN HIS WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP DEBUT
The first and long-awaited appointment of the 2021 Moto2 World Championship has just ended at the Losail International circuit. MB Conveyors SpeedUp riders finished the twenty laps of the Qatar Grand Prix race in tenth and twentieth position.
Different conditions those faced in today’s race by Navarro and Montella, characterized by wind and lower temperatures than the other days. After a good start, Jorge tried not to lose positions and until the thirteenth lap he maintained a constant pace in eighth position. He then tried to better manage the lack of grip but to hinder the team 9 rider was a pain in his right arm that prevented him from attacking by crossing the line in tenth position.
Positive performance by Yari Montella who, after a complicated start to the race, managed to significantly improve the feeling with the Boscoscuro bike by increasing the pace. The Italian rider ended his first race of the world championship in twentieth place.
JORGE NAVARRO #9: 10th
“First race ended and the truth is that it wasn’t easy at all. From the middle of the race onwards I had grip problems, but above all a pain in my right arm that really hindered me a lot. We have to look at the positive side of this first weekend that started really uphill in which my team and I managed the problems well and finished in top ten. We will analyze the race by identifying the points to improve in order to be ready next week, again here at the Losail circuit ”.
YARI MONTELLA #5: 20th
“Positive impressions, I’m quite happy with my first race. We didn’t start well, I made some driving mistakes, but towards the end I started to change and push where I needed to push and it went better, we rode with better times that are satisfying us for now. I’m happy even though we’re still far from good positions, but I’m confident for the next one because I know we’ll start from this base and therefore we can only improve”.
