NAVARRO E MONTELLA AL LAVORO NELLA PRIMA GIORNATA DI PROVE LIBERE DEL GRAN PREMIO DEL QATAR

MB Conveyors SpeedUp inizia bene la stagione 2021 di Moto2 con Jorge Navarro che chiude in decima posizione il primo giorno di prove libere sul Losail International Circuit di Doha, Qatar. Il rookie Yari Montella, al suo esordio in Moto2, termina con il ventottesimo tempo il venerdì qatariano.

Dopo i risultati incoraggianti degli ultimi test in Qatar, Navarro si conferma a suo agio con la sua Boscoscuro B-21. Bene la prima sessione, p13 in 2’01.079 (+0.774) con un ottimo 2’00.683 cancellato per bandiera gialla. Nelle FP2 Jorge sfrutta quasi tutta la sessione per migliorare il setting e negli ultimi minuti della prova cerca il giro veloce chiudendo al decimo posto con il crono di 1’59.566 a +0.597 dalla vetta della classifica.

Yari Montella, al suo primo weekend del Campionato Mondiale Moto2, chiude la prima sessione con il diciassettesimo tempo in 2’00.314, +1.009. Nella seconda prova il numero 5 ed il suo team trovano qualche difficoltà in più rispetto alle FP1. Abbassano il crono del mattino in 2’00.419 ma non abbastanza da mantenere la posizione chiudendo la giornata in p28.

JORGE NAVARRO #9: 10^° in 1’59.556

“Oggi è stato un giorno abbastanza complicato a causa soprattutto delle condizioni della pista, diverse dal test in entrambe le sessioni. Ci siamo quindi dovuti adattare il più possibile. Abbiamo lavorato molto sulla moto sia in FP1 che in FP2 e ancora abbiamo parecchio lavoro da portare a termine nell’ultima sessione di domani mattina. Positivo invece il giro veloce cercato e segnato a fine FP2 con il quale spero d’essermi assicurato l’accesso alle Q1 così da poter sfruttare le FP3 con tranquillità per migliorare il nostro pacchetto ed essere pronti alla gara!”.

YARI MONTELLA #5: 28^° in 2’00.419

“Questa mattina siamo partiti molto bene, siamo migliorati ad ogni modifica eseguita al setting della moto sebbene le condizioni della pista non fossero le più ideali. Nelle FP2 abbiamo cercato di risolvere le problematiche riscontrate nella prima sessione concentrandoci soprattutto sulla mia guida. Il primo run è andato bene, nel secondo invece non ho avuto un buon feeling con la moto. Stiamo capendo il perché ma siamo comunque fiduciosi per domani”.

NAVARRO AND MONTELLA AT WORK ON THE FIRST FREE PRACTICE DAY OF THE GRAND PRIX OF QATAR

MB Conveyors SpeedUp has started the 2021 Moto2 season well with Jorge Navarro finishing tenth on the first day of free practice at the Losail International Circuit in Doha, Qatar. The rookie Yari Montella, on his debut in Moto2, ended in 28th position on Qatar’s Friday.

After the encouraging results of the latest tests in Qatar, Navarro confirms himself at ease with his Boscoscuro B-21 bike. The first session did well, p13 in 2’01.079 (+0.774) with an excellent 2’00.683 cancelled due to the yellow flag. In FP2, Jorge used almost the entire session to improve the setting and in the last minutes of the session he looked for the fastest lap, finishing in tenth place with a time of 1’59.566 at +0.597 from the top of the standings.

Yari Montella, on his first weekend of the Moto2 World Championship, closed the first session with the seventeenth time in 2’00.314, +1.009. In the second round the number 5 and his team found some more difficulties than in FP1. They lower the morning chrono to 2’00.419 but not enough to maintain the position by closing the day in p28.

“Today was a rather complicated day for me mainly due to the track conditions, different from the test in both sessions. We therefore had to adapt as much as possible. We worked a lot on the bike in both FP1 and FP2 and we still have a lot of work to complete in the last session tomorrow morning. On the other hand, the fastest lap sought and scored at the end of FP2 was positive, with which I hope to have ensured access to Q1 so that I can take advantage of the FP3 with confidence to improve our package and be ready for the race!”.

“This morning we started very well, we improved with every change made to the bike setting although the track conditions were not the most ideal. In FP2 we tried to solve the problems encountered in the first session by focusing above all on my driving. The first run went well, but in the second I didn’t have a good feeling with the bike. We are understanding why but we are still confident for tomorrow”.
