GRAN PREMIO DEL PORTOGALLO: DOMENICA AMARA PER NAVARRO E MONTELLA
Un weekend che non ha concesso molti sorrisi al LighTech SpeedUp team che lascia a mani vuote l’Autódromo Internacional do Algarve.
Jorge Navarro termina la sua gara al secondo giro quando all’entrata della curva cinque perde stabilità all’anteriore e cade a terra.
La gara di Yari finisce alla fine del quarto giro con una brutta caduta dove fortunatamente rimane illeso.
Il LighTech SpeedUp team tornerà in pista al circuito di Jerez de la Frontera per il quarto appuntamento della stagione, il Gran Premio di Spagna 30/1/2 maggio.
YARI MONTELLA #5: DNF
“Mi dispiace molto per la caduta di oggi perché avremmo potuto concludere una buona gara andandoci a prendere i primi punti. Nel complesso è stato un weekend positivo, caduta a parte, perché stiamo crescendo gara dopo gara e i progressi si vedono. Ora pensiamo alla prossima gara a Jerez de la Frontera, pronti a dare il massimo!”.
JORGE NAVARRO #9: DNF
“Già sapevamo sarebbe stato un giorno complicato però potevamo raddrizzare un weekend nero. Questa mattina nel warm up mi sono trovato abbastanza bene con la moto. Sono partito abbastanza bene, stavo avanzando, e ad un certo punto mentre entravo alla curva cinque ho perso l’anteriore cadendo a terra. Ho deciso poi di rientrare in pista perché avevamo apportato delle modifiche alla moto per la gara e ho voluto quindi raccogliere più dati possibili”.
PORTUGAL GRAND PRIX: DIFFICULT SUNDAY FOR NAVARRO AND MONTELLA
A weekend that did not give many smiles to the LighTech SpeedUp team that leaves the Autódromo Internacional do Algarve empty-handed.
Jorge Navarro ended his race on the second lap when at the entrance of turn five he lost stability on the front crashing.
Yari’s race ended at the end of the fourth lap with a bad crash where fortunately he remained unharmed.
The LighTech SpeedUp team will be back on track at the Jerez de la Frontera circuit for the fourth round of the season, the Spanish Grand Prix 30/1/2 May.
MONTELLA #5: DNF
“I am very sorry for today’s crash because we could have finished a good race by going to get the first points. Overall it was a positive weekend, apart from the crash, because we are growing race after race and we can see the progress. Now let’s think about the next race in Jerez de la Frontera, ready to give our best!”.
JORGE NAVARRO #9: DNF
“We already knew it would be a complicated day but we could straighten out a black weekend. This morning in the warm up I felt quite comfortable with the bike. I got off to a good start, I was advancing, and at one point as I entered turn five I lost the front and fell to the ground. I then decided to get back on track because we had made some changes to the bike for the race and I therefore wanted to collect as much data as possible”.
