RACE: P7 E P17 PER NAVARRO E LOPEZ NEL GRAN PREMIO D’OLANDA

I piloti del +EGO SpeedUp team hanno appena concluso la gara del Gran Premio d’Olanda, nono appuntamento del Campionato Mondiale Moto2.

La griglia di partenza è cambiata dopo la notizia della positività al Covid-19 di uno dei piloti Moto2. Entrambi i piloti hanno guadagnato una posizione in griglia, Navarro è partito in seconda fila (p6), mentre Lopez è rimasto in nona (p26).

Qualche difficoltà ad inizio gara per Jorge che si è ritrovato in p12 alla fine del primo giro a causa di un contatto con un altro pilota. Il valenciano però non si è arreso e in pochi giri si è ripreso due posizioni portandosi in p10. Mantenendo un buon ritmo per tutti i restanti giri del Dutch TT, il numero nove è riuscito ad incalzare dei bei sorpassi tagliando il traguardo in settima posizione.

Buona prestazione di Alonso Lopez che dopo una partenza disastrosa è riuscito a gestire bene la gara rimontando ben nove posizioni e concludendo la gara al TT Assen circuit con il diciassettesimo posto.

Il Campionato Mondiale di Moto2 ritornerà dopo la pausa estiva al RedBull Ring per due appuntamenti: il Gran Premio di Styria 06/07/08 agosto ed il Gran Premio d’Austria 13/14/15 agosto.

JORGE NAVARRO #9: 7^°

“Soddisfatto e contento di com’è andata questa gara perché sono riuscito a fare una buona rimonta dopo l’incidente nel primo giro. Poi il ritmo è stato abbastanza buono e sono riuscito ad avanzare sorpassando qualche pilota. Alla fine credo che p7 fosse il nostro posto oggi, quindi contento e con voglia di approfittare al massimo di questa pausa per poi tornare ancora più motivato!”.

ALONSO LOPEZ #2: 17°

“Direi che non sono del tutto contento di com’è andato questo GP. Mi dispiace per la gara, avrei potuto fare molto meglio perché ho scelto lo pneumatico morbido anteriore ed ho avuto parecchi problemi in frenata. Sicuramente con la gomma dura avremmo potuto essere molto più competitivi. Soddisfatto invece di come ho gestito la gara in pista e del lavoro che abbiamo svolto nel weekend. Ringrazio la squadra per l’incredibile lavoro svolto e a Luca per l’opportunità. Spero di vedervi presto, un abbraccio!”.

RACE: P7 AND P17 FOR NAVARRO AND LOPEZ IN THE GRAND PRIX OF NETHERLANDS

+EGO SpeedUp riders just ended the Dutch Grand Prix race, ninth round of the Moto2 World Championship.

The starting grid changed after the news that one Moto2 rider has tested positive for Covid-19. Both riders gained one position on the grid, Navarro started from the second row (p6), while Lopez remained in ninth (p26).

Tough start of the race for Jorge who found himself in p12 at the end of the first lap due to a contact with another rider. The Valencian, however, did not give up and in a few laps he recovered two positions, taking to p10. Maintaining a good pace throughout the remaining laps of the Dutch TT, the number nine managed to hit some nice overtakes by crossing the finish line in seventh position.

Good performance by Alonso Lopez who after a disastrous start was able to manage the race well, recovering nine positions and finishing the race at the TT Assen circuit with seventeenth place.

The Moto2 World Championship will return after the summer break to the Red Bull Ring for two events: the Grand Prix of Styria 06/07/08 August and the Grand Prix of Austria 13/14/15 August.

JORGE NAVARRO # 9: 7^th

“Satisfied and happy with how this race went because I managed to make a good comeback after the accident on the first lap. Then the pace was pretty good and I was able to overtake some riders. In the end, I think p7 was our place today, so happy and willing to make the most of this break and then come back even more motivated!”.

ALONSO LOPEZ #2: 17^th

“I am not entirely happy with how this GP went. I’m sorry for the race, I could have done a lot better because I chose the soft front tire and I had a lot of problems under braking. Certainly, with the hard tire we could have been much more competitive. Instead, I was satisfied with how I managed the race on the track and the work we did over the weekend. I thank the team for the incredible work they have done and to Luca for the opportunity. I hope to see you soon, a hug! “.
