PROVE LIBERE: NAVARRO TREDICESIMO A FINE GIORNATA. BRUTTA CADUTA PER MONTELLA NELLE FP1

Al via oggi il Gran Premio di Francia al leggendario circuito Bugatti di Le Mans con il cambio di livrea per il team Speed Up che nel weekend francese si riveste dei colori MB Conveyors.

Jorge Navarro termina la prima giornata con il tredicesimo tempo, mentre Yari Montella a causa di una brutta caduta durante le FP1 chiude in anticipo il suo Gran Premio.

Giornata positiva per Navarro. Il pilota valenciano inizia bene il venerdì francese trovando un buon feeling con la sua Boscoscuro e migliorando il crono da una sessione all’altra. Conclude la giornata in p13 con il crono di 1’37.316, fermato dalla bandiera gialla che annulla il suo miglior giro (1’36.861).

Il primo turno di prove libere si è concluso nel peggiore dei modi per Yari Montella che all’uscita della decima curva verso la fine della sessione è stato scagliato violentemente a terra da un highside. Yari è stato subito portato all’ospedale e sottoposto ad un’operazione al polso destro.

JORGE NAVARRO #9: 13^° in 1’37.316

“É stata una giornata positiva, specialmente perché siamo riusciti a girare su pista asciutta quando le previsioni davano pioggia tutto il giorno. Abbiamo apportato varie modifiche alla moto ottenendo buoni riscontri. Nel pomeriggio quando ho montato le gomme nuova c’è stata la bandiera gialla e per questo siamo un po’ indietro in classifica, ma sono comunque contento del lavoro svolto oggi e che continueremo domani in vista qualifiche e gara”.

YARI MONTELLA #5: non classificato

“Mi dispiace molto per la caduta perché avevamo iniziato il weekend con il piede giusto. Mi sono sentito bene da subito sopra la moto. Le FP1 stavano andando molto bene prima della scivolata che purtroppo ci ha compromesso il weekend. Ora l’importante è recuperare il prima possibile per tornare in moto al più presto!”.

Jorge Navarro ended the first day with the thirteenth time, while Yari Montella closed his Grand Prix early due to a bad fall during FP1.

Positive day for Navarro. The Valencian rider started well on French Friday finding a good feeling with his Boscoscuro bike and improving the lap time from one session to the next. He ended the day in p13 with a time of 1’37.316, stopped by the yellow flag that deleted his best lap (1’36.861).

The first free practice session ended in the worst possible way for Yari Montella who, at the exit of the tenth corner towards the end of the session, suffered a huge highside. Yari was immediately taken to the hospital and underwent an operation on his right wrist.

“It was a positive day, especially as we were able to run on a dry track when the forecast was for rain all day. We have made various changes to the bike and have received good feedback. In the afternoon when I mounted the new tires there was a yellow flag and for this reason we are a little behind in the standings, but I am still happy with the work done today and that we will continue tomorrow in view of qualifying and the race”.

“I am very sorry for the crash because we started the weekend on the right foot. I immediately felt good on the bike. FP1 were going very well before the crash which unfortunately compromised our weekend. Now the important thing is to recover as soon as possible to get back on the bike as soon as possible! “.
