QUALIFICHE: NAVARRO SFIORA LA POLE E SI AGGIUDICA LA PRIMA FILA DEL GRAN PREMIO DELL’EMILIA ROMAGNA.

Jorge Navarro è tornato a prendersi la prima fila della griglia di partenza della Gran Premio del Made in Italy e dell’Emilia Romagna, mentre Aldeguer ha concluso in p13 le sue prime qualifiche Moto2 sul circuito di Misano aggiudicandosi la quinta fila.

Anche quest’oggi, le condizioni meteo non hanno dato tregua. Durante le FP3 del mattino non è stato possibile abbassare i tempi del venerdì e per questo Navarro, sebbene la p6 a fine prova, ha dovuto affrontare le Q1. Tempo incerto anche in qualifica, ma con pista a macchie Jorge ha dimostrato d’essere velocissimo passando la sessione con il primo tempo. Anche nelle qualifiche finali si è confermato tra i migliori sfiorando la pole per soli +0.045 con il crono di 1’36.555.

Weekend più che positivo anche per Fermín che si è guadagnato l’acesso diretto alle Q2 con il decimo tempo della classifica combinata delle libere. Aldeguer, ottimo feeling sia sul bagnato che su pista in condizioni miste, è stato fermato da una caduta a fine quali che non gli ha dato modo di migliorare il tredicesimo (comunque ottimo) tempo in 1’37.780.

JORGE NAVARRO #9: 2^° in 1’36.555

“Sono molto contento della prima fila perché è stato un fine settimana strano in cui abbiamo girato su una pista in condizioni miste in tutte le sessioni. Ho mantenuto la mente fredda perché sapevo che sull’asciutto potevo stare tra i migliori. E così è stato! Ho fatto una gran Q1 e nella Q2 son riuscito anche a migliorare il tempo. Quindi, come ho detto, molto contento e con tanta voglia di divertirmi domani!”.

FERMÍN ALDEGUER #54: 13^° in 1’37.780

“Giornata con finale agrodolce. A dire il vero questa mattina mi son trovato molto bene sul bagnato. Ho abbassato il tempo di ieri sul bagnato e migliorando giro dopo giro abbiamo finito la sessione in P4. Sebbene il pass diretto alle Q2, sapevamo che la qualifica non sarebbe stata facile perché non avevamo girato con l’asciutto. Ad ogni modo sono uscito molto motivato e migliorando ad ogni giro in pista fino alla caduta che purtroppo ha stroncato la QP. P13 non è poi così male per essere la mia prima quali qui in Misano e con le condizioni incerte di questo weekend. Quindi contento e pronto a dare tutto domani!”.

QUALIFYING: NAVARRO ON FRONT ROW AT THE EMILIA ROMAGNA GRAND PRIX

Jorge Navarro returned to take the front row of the starting grid of the Made in Italy and Emilia Romagna Grand Prix, while Aldeguer finished his first Moto2 qualifying session in p13 at the Misano circuit, taking the fifth row.

Even today, the weather conditions have given no respite. During the FP3 in the morning it was not possible to lower the Friday times and for this Navarro, although the p6 at the end of the session, had to face the Q1. Uncertain time also in qualifying, but with a patchy track Jorge proved to be very fast, passing the session with the first time. Even in the final qualifying he was confirmed as one of the best, touching pole for only +0.045 with a time of 1’36.555.

A more than positive weekend also for Fermín who earned direct access to Q2 with the tenth time of the combined free practice classification. Aldeguer, who had an excellent feeling both in the wet and on the track in mixed conditions, was stopped by a crash at the end of which he was unable to improve on the thirteenth (still excellent) time in 1’37.780.

“I am very happy with the front row because it was a strange weekend where we ran on a track in mixed conditions in all the sessions. I kept a cool head because I knew that in the dry I could be among the best. And so it was! I did a great Q1 and in Q2 I was also able to improve the time. So, as I said, very happy and I can’t wait to race tomorrow!”.

FERMÍN ALDEGUER # 54: 13^th in 1’37.780

“Day with a bittersweet finish. To be honest, this morning I felt very good in the wet. I lowered yesterday’s wet time and improving lap after lap we finished the session in P4. Although the direct pass to Q2, we knew that qualifying was not going to be easy because we hadn’t been running in dry conditions. In any case, I came out very motivated and improving with every lap on the track until the crash that unfortunately ended the QP. P13 is not too bad to be my first quali here in Misano and with the uncertain conditions of this weekend. So happy and ready to give everything tomorrow!”.
