QUALIFICHE: QUARTA E DECIMA FILA PER NAVARRO E ALDEGUER

I piloti del Termozeta SpeedUp team sono tornati in pista quest’oggi per determinare la posizione nella griglia di partenza della gara del Gran Premio do Algarve, che si terrà domani, in via esclusiva, alle 14.30 ora locale.

A pochi giri dall’inizio delle FP3 del mattino una caduta ha costretto Navarro ai box per maggior parte della prova. Dopo il veloce lavoro della squadra, Jorge è riuscito a rientrare in pista e con soli due giri a disposizione ha centrato l’accesso diretto alle Q2 con l’ottavo tempo della combinata di libere in 1’42.969. Al terzo giro delle Q2 ha segnato il suo giro più veloce in 1’42.822 classificandosi in quarta fila con il decimo tempo.

Il sabato portoghese è stato più complicato per Aldeguer sebbene la sua continua crescita nella guida della Boscoscuro. Con il crono di 1’43.745 la squadra 54 ha terminato in P24 le tre prove libere dovendo quindi affrontare le Q1. Purtroppo una scivolata ad inizio prova ha compromesso la qualifica di Aldeguer che dopo la caduta non è riuscito a trovare il giusto feeling per raggiungere le prime posizioni della classifica, P28 e decima fila nella gara di domani.

JORGE NAVARRO #9: 10° in 1’42.822

“È stato un sabato strano. Questa mattina son caduto all’inizio della sessione probabilmente a causa della temperatura delle gomme. Per fortuna c’è rimasto il tempo per tornare in pista e fare il crono che ci ha portati direttamente in Q2. Nelle quali, dopo tre giri lo pneumatico posteriore è calato moltissimo e non sono più riuscito ad abbassare il tempo. Partiamo dalla decima posizione domani, non è poi così male, siamo pronti a lottare”.

FERMÍN ALDEGUER #54: 28° in 1’43.979

“Un giorno complicato. Nelle FP3 abbiamo avuto dei problemi che speravamo di poter risolvere prima delle QP ma così non è stato. Son caduto nel primo giro delle qualifiche e dopo la caduta ho perso un po’ di fiducia. Nei pochi giri rimasti ho avuto un problema meccanico che ci ha impedito di segnare il tempo che stavamo cercando. Una gara in salita quindi, ma siamo pronti a fare esperienza e a dare il 100%!”.

QUALIFYING: FOURTH AND TENTH ROW FOR NAVARRO AND ALDEGUER

Termozeta SpeedUp riders went back on track today to determine their position on the starting grid of the Algarve Grand Prix, which will be held exclusively tomorrow at 2.30pm local time.

A few laps before the start of FP3 in the morning, a crash forced Navarro into the garage for most of the session. After the fast work of the team, Jorge was able to get back on track and with only two laps available he centered direct access to Q2 with the eighth time of the combined free practice in 1’42.969. On the third lap of Q2 he scored his fastest lap of 1’42.822, finishing in the fourth row with the tenth time.

The Portuguese Saturday was more complicated for Aldeguer although his continued growth in driving the Boscoscuro bike. With a time of 1’43.745, team 54 finished the three free practices in P24 and therefore had to face Q1. Unfortunately, a crash at the start of the session compromised Aldeguer’s qualifying, who after the crash was unable to find the right feeling to reach the top positions of the standings, P28 and tenth row in tomorrow’s race.

“It was a strange Saturday. This morning I crashed at the beginning of the session probably due to the tire temperature. Fortunately, there was time to get back on track and set the time that took us directly to Q2. In QP, after three laps, the rear tire dropped a lot and I was no longer able to lower the time. We start from tenth position tomorrow, it’s not that bad, we are ready to fight”.

“A complicated day. In FP3 we had some problems that we hoped to be able to solve before the QP but that was not the case. I crashed on the first lap of qualifying and after the crash I lost some confidence. In the few laps left I had a mechanical problem that prevented us from setting the time we were looking for. An uphill race then, but we are ready to gain experience and give 100%!”.
