GARA: FERMÍN E ALONSO CHIUDONO IL GP DELLE AMERICHE IN SESTA E SETTIMA POSIZIONE

Al Circuito delle Americhe il Beta Tools SpeedUp conclude in sesta e settima posizione il terzo e burrascoso appuntamento del Campionato Mondiale Moto2™ 2023.

Le difficoltà riscontrate da Aldeguer dopo la caduta di ieri sono state ripagate oggi con l’incredibile rimonta in gara. Ottima partenza per Fermín che dalla quarta fila della griglia è riuscito a recuperare posizioni grazie a velocità e sorpassi decisivi fino al terzo posto a sei giri dalla fine. Purtroppo durante l’ultimo giro l’urto di Canet gli ha fatto perdere posizioni e la possibilità di centrare il primo podio mondiale tagliando il traguardo in p6. La squadra 54 ha dimostrato oggi un gran progresso ottenendo infatti il miglior risultato dall’inizio della stagione.

Allo spegnersi dei semafori, López è subito balzato in testa a tutti gli altri con una partenza delle sue. Dopo pochi giri però la tuta ha iniziato a stringere al punto da addormentargli il braccio e sfortunatamente Alonso non è più riuscito a mantenere l’ottimo ritmo dell’inizio gara e stringendo i denti è arrivato settimo al traguardo.

ALDEGUER #54: 6° 

“Non era esattamente la posizione che ci aspettavamo però dopo la caduta di ieri e la partenza in P11 non possiamo che essere contenti. Ho trovato un ottimo feeling con la moto durante la gara grazie al quale abbiamo potuto rimontare e lottare. Anche se alla fine non sono riuscito a mantenere la terza posizione sono ugualmente contento e vado a Jerez con un’altra testa e con gli obbiettivi chiari”

LÓPEZ #21: 7° 

“Dalla gara di oggi sinceramente mi aspettavo molto di più per come sono partito. Dopo un paio di giri la tuta mi ha fatto addormentare il braccio ed è stato difficile guidare. Un peccato perché credo che avrei potuto fare molto bene e dimostrare un livello maggiore.”

RACE: FERMÍN AND ALONSO CLOSE THE GP OF THE AMERICAS IN SIXTH AND SEVENTH POSITION

At the Circuit of the Americas, Beta Tools SpeedUp concludes the third and stormy round of the 2023 Moto2™ World Championship in sixth and seventh position.

The difficulties encountered by Aldeguer after yesterday’s crash paid off today with an incredible comeback in the race. Excellent start for Fermín who managed to recover positions from the fourth row of the grid thanks to speed and decisive overtaking up to third place with six laps to go. Unfortunately, during the last lap, Canet’s impact caused him to lose positions and the possibility of hitting his first world podium by crossing the finish line in p6. Team 54 showed today a great progress obtaining the best result since the beginning of the season.

As the traffic lights went out, López immediately leapt to the lead with a stunning start. After a few laps, however, the suit began to tighten to the point of making his arm fall asleep and unfortunately Alonso was no longer able to maintain the excellent pace of the start of the race and gritting his teeth he arrived seventh at the finish line.

ALDEGUER #54: 6^th

“It wasn’t exactly the position we expected but after yesterday’s crash and the start in P11 we can only be happy. I found an excellent feeling with the bike during the race thanks to which we were able to reassemble and fight. Even if in the end I wasn’t able to keep third position, I’m still happy and I’m going to Jerez with a different head and with clear objectives.”

LÓPEZ #21: 7^th

“From today’s race I honestly expected a lot more for how I started. After a couple of laps the suit made my arm go numb and it was hard to ride. A pity because I think I could have done very well and demonstrated a higher level.”
