PROVE LIBERE: P12 E P20 PER LIGHTECH SPEEDUP NEL GRAN PREMIO DI SPAGNA

I piloti del LighTech SpeedUp team sono tornati in pista oggi dando il via al Gran Premio de España, sesto appuntamento del Campionato Mondiale Moto2 2022.

Poco prima delle 11:00 Fermin e Romano hanno lasciato il box LighTech SpeedUp in sella alle loro Boscoscuro B-22 scatenandosi in pista nella prima sessione di prove libere sul circuito de Jerez-Àngel Nieto. Aldeguer ha iniziato bene il suo weekend di casa sebbene si aspettasse di più da questa prima giornata di libere; p9 a fine del primo turno in 1’42.531 con un gap di +0.593 dal primo. Nelle FP2 la squadra 54 ha lavorato sulla moto apportando qualche modifica al setting che però non ha riportato il risultato sperato chiudendo il turno in p12 con il tempo di 1’42.295 (+0.649).

Giornata positiva per Fenati che ha trovato un buon feeling sin dai primi giri in pista. Il numero 5 ha chiuso la prima prova in p22 con il crono di 1’43.297 (+1.359). Ottimo il miglioramento di Romano nella sessione del pomeriggio terminata in p17 in 1’42.692 (+1.046) in cui ha ridotto il gap dai primi dimostrando progressi nella guida. P20 per squadra 5 nella combinata del venerdì spagnolo.

Il lavoro di preparazione per le qualifiche di domani e la gara di domenica continuerà domani mattina con la terza ed ultima sessione di prove libere in programma alle ore 10.55 locali.

FERMÍN ALDEGUER #54: 12°

“Non sono contento delle sensazioni che ho avuto quest’oggi, ma stiamo lavorando con la squadra per capire come poter risolvere tutti i problemi che abbiamo prima di domani. E niente, impazienti di tornare in pista e dare il nostro meglio!”.

ROMANO FENATI #5: 20°

“Primo giorno positivo, sensazioni migliori mai avute prima! Abbiamo individuato dove dobbiamo migliorare nel setting della moto e siamo fiduciosi per domani perché abbiamo ancora del margine per fare bene. L’obiettivo qualifica è riuscire a guadagnare l’accesso diretto alle Q2. Se mettiamo assieme tutti i punti son certo ce la possiamo fare”.

FREE PRACTICE: P12 AND P20 FOR LIGHTECH SPEEDUP IN THE SPANISH GRAND PRIX

The LighTech SpeedUp riders are back on track today, kicking off the Grand Prix de España, the sixth round of the 2022 Moto2 World Championship.

Shortly before 11:00 Fermin and Romano left the LighTech SpeedUp garage on their Boscoscuro B-22 bikes and went wild on track in the first free practice session at the Jerez-Àngel Nieto circuit.

Aldeguer started his home weekend well although he expected more from this first day of free practices; p9 at the end of the first session in 1’42.531 with a gap of +0.593 from the first. In FP2, team 54 worked on the bike making some changes to the setting which, however, did not achieve the desired result, ending the practice in p12 with a time of 1’42.295 (+0.649).

Positive day for Fenati who found a good feeling right from the first laps on track. Number 5 closed the first session in p22 with a time of 1’43.297 (+1.359). Good improvement by Romano in the afternoon session which ended in p17 in 1’42.692 (+1.046) in which he reduced the gap from the leaders demonstrating progress in driving. P20 for team 5 in the combined Spanish Friday practices.

The preparation work for tomorrow’s qualifying and Sunday’s race will continue tomorrow morning with the third and final free practice session scheduled at 10.55 local time.

FERMÍN ALDEGUER #54: 12^th

“I’m not happy with the sensations I had today, but we are working with the team to understand how we can solve all the problems we have before tomorrow. And nothing, impatient to get back on track and give our best!”.

ROMANO FENATI #5: 20^th

“Positive first day, better feelings than ever before! We have identified where we need to improve in the bike setting and we are confident for tomorrow because we still have some margin to do well. The qualifying goal is to be able to gain direct access to Q2. If we put all the points together, I’m sure we can do it”.
