BETA TOOLS SPEEDUP CHIUDE IN P2 E P3 LA PRIMA GIORNATA AL PHILLIP ISLAND CIRCUIT

Il Gran Premio d’Australia inizia con il botto per il Beta Tools SpeedUp team che si prende la seconda e la terza posizione con Aldeguer e López in splendida forma.

L’emblematico circuito di Phillip Island è piaciuto da subito a Fermín che ancora una volta ha affrontato un tracciato a lui sconosciuto e lo ha fatto con ottimi risultati. Già dalla prima sessione di libere il pilota di Murcia ha fatto vedere quanto gli piacesse la pista e la velocità con la quale ci si sta adattando chiudendo in p10 a +0.642 in 1’35.346. Dopo il briefing con i tecnici e alcune modifiche alla sua Boscoscuro il feeling migliora e più Fermin conosce la pista più abbassa il suo tempo fino a segnare un ottimo 1’34.149 che gli vale la seconda posizione del Day1.

Giornata dolce amara per López a causa di un long lap inflittogli per un contatto con un altro pilota durante la FP1. Undicesimo nelle prove del mattino a +0.698, il rookie Beta Tools SpeedUp ha saputo reagire dopo la brutta notizia dimostrando ritmo e velocità anche con gomme usate. 1’34.228 (+0.461) il best crono di Alonso raggiunto a fine FP2 che equivale alla terza posizione della classificata combinata di libere.

FERMÍN ALDEGUER #54: 2° in 1’34.149

“Soddisfatto del lavoro svolto. È la prima volta che giro in questa meravigliosa pista e devo dire che mi è piaciuta moltissimo da subito perché si adatta a perfezione al il mio stile di guida dato che presenta curve molto lunghe e veloci. E niente, super contento anche dei cambi che abbiamo apportato alla moto; siamo tornati un po’ indietro cambiando telaio ed ha funzionato bene. Domani continueremo a lavorare seguendo la buona linea incontrata oggi”.

ALONSO LÓPEZ #21: 3° in 1’34.228

“Sono molto contento di questa prima giornata, siamo davvero molto competitivi. Nelle FP2 non abbiamo cambiato gomma riuscendo a segnare il nostro miglior tempo del venerdì con la gomma usata 24 giri. Domani proveremo il long lap così da poterlo eseguire perfettamente e perdere il meno tempo possibile in gara. Devo dire che mi sto divertendo molto su questo circuito, non vedevo l’ora di tornare qui!”.

P2 AND P3 FOR BETA TOOLS SPEEDUP CLOSES IN DAY 1 AT PHILLIP ISLAND CIRCUIT

The Australian Grand Prix has started with a bang for the Beta Tools SpeedUp team that took second and third position with Aldeguer and López in great shape.

The emblematic Phillip Island circuit was immediately liked by Fermin who once again tackled a track unknown to him and did it with excellent results. Already from the first free practice session, the Spanish rider showed how much he likes the track and the rapidity with which he is adapting, finishing in p10 at +0.642 in 1’35.346. After the briefing with the technicians and some changes to his Boscoscuro bike, the feeling improved and the more Fermin knows the track the more he lowers his time until he scored an excellent 1’34.149 taking second position on Day1.

Bitter sweet day for López due to a long lap inflicted on him after a contact with another rider during FP1. Eleventh in the morning practice at +0.698, the rookie Beta Tools SpeedUp was able to react after the bad news by demonstrating pace and speed even with used tires. 1’34.228 (+0.461) his best time achieved at the end of FP2 which is equivalent to the third position of the combined free practices.

FERMÍN ALDEGUER #54: 2^nd in 1’34.149

“Satisfied with the work done. It is the first time that I have ridden on this wonderful track and I must say that I liked it very much from the start because it suits my driving style perfectly as it has very long and fast corners. And nothing, super happy also with the changes we have made to the bike; we went back a bit by changing frames and it worked well. Tomorrow we will continue to work following the good line we encountered today”.

ALONSO LÓPEZ #21: 3^rd in 1’34.228

“I am very happy with this first day, we are really very competitive. In FP2 we did not change tires and managed to set our best Friday time with the tire used 24 laps. Tomorrow we will try the long lap so that we can do it perfectly and lose as little time as possible in the race. I must say that I’m having a lot of fun on this circuit, I couldn’t wait to get back here!”.
