THAI GP QUALIFYING: THIRD AND FIFTH ROW FOR THE BETA TOOLS SPEEDUP RIDERS
The Beta Tools SpeedUp riders have just concluded the Thai GP qualifying to determine their starting position for tomorrow’s race. At the Chang International Circuit, Tomorrow Aldeguer and López will start from the third and fifth rows respectively.
Fermín completed the first morning session with excellent results, recording a time of 1’35.036 which earned him fifth place. Once in Q2, the number 54 took the third row thanks to the eighth best time of the session in 1’35.012 and tomorrow he will try to repeat the wonderful victory of 2023.
Alonso, on the other hand, after a good FP2 that saw him in ninth place on the combined standings in 1’35.280, was then unable to find the right formula in qualifying that would allow him to ride with confidence and determination. With a time of 1’35.234, López will start tomorrow’s race from the fourteenth position, which means the fifth row of the grid.
FERMÍN ALDEGUER #54: 8th in 1’35.012
“Although we could have given much more today in qualifying, I am very confident for tomorrow’s race as the feeling with the bike and the pace on the track are positive. The goal for tomorrow is to try to finish a good race”.
ALONSO LÓPEZ #21: 14th in 1’35.234
“It didn’t go at all as I wanted. This morning I had a great feeling with the bike, while this afternoon I didn’t feel 100% and I finished the day as best I could at that moment. Tomorrow we need to make a great start and start making up positions right from the beginning. Now I will analyze all the data with my team to try to understand where we can improve to have a good race”.
