At the Losail International Circuit, Qatar, MB Conveyors SpeedUp concludes the last pre-season tests.
A few days before the start of the Moto2 World Championship, Jorge Navarro and the new entry Yari Montella worked hard trying to make the most of these three days of testing, concluding the pre-season work with good results.Jorge Navarro finished in seventh position on his Boscoscuro B-21 BIKE thanks to the fastest lap of 1’58.888 obtained yesterday in his “time attack” test. The Spaniard declared himself quite satisfied with the work done in these days with the team and he is confident that he can be even faster in the first race weekend here at the Losail circuit.Different objectives those of Yari Montella, for the first time in Qatar. It was three fundamental days for the number 5 and his team to get to know and learn the track well without focusing too much on the fastest lap. Constant growth and fast learning are the positive balance of this last testing days for Montella, ready to face his first race of the Moto2 World Championship.
JORGE NAVARRO #9p7 in 1’58.888 (+0.233)
“Today we continued our work plan in anticipation of the first two Grand Prix. We had to try some changes that could serve to improve the base from which we started. The reality is that what we tried today did not help us as we hoped and therefore we were not able to improve yesterday’s good performance but we understood where we need to work harder. In any case, we are happy with these three days of testing and we are going to the first race of the season with much clearer ideas!”.
YARI MONTELLA #5 2’00.116 (+1.461)
“I’m not really happy with the final result of these three days of testing, we didn’t expect to finish so far from the top. We certainly need to work a lot and try to learn more on track, but apart from that we are still happy with the improvements we have achieved after each session. Today we did a race simulation in which we managed to have a constant pace. It wasn’t a very fast pace, but for now we can be satisfied!”.

JORGE NAVARRO #9: 21st in 2.00.466 – 30 laps
“Today to be honest it wasn’t a great start for us. We didn’t find a good feeling right from the first run on track. In the afternoon we tried some changes to face the next few days following a work plan. Honestly, we expected different results from those obtained especially after the tire change but we encountered some problems that we will try to solve tomorrow. We therefore have a lot to work on, but I am sure we will find the solution”.
YARI MONTELLA #5: 28th in 2.01.024 – 28 laps
“Pretty good first day. Our goal for now is to familiarize as much as possible with the bike and the new circuit. Today we started from a base on which we will work in the coming days. There have been some small improvements at the end of the day and this has certainly given us the certainty that we are on the right way. Quite satisfied therefore with today and with a great desire to continue the work started “.
