SECOND POLE POSITION FOR LOPEZ AT THE DUTCHGP, ALDEGUER SCORE HIS BEST QUALIFYING RESULT OF 2023
Surprising results for the Beta Tools SpeedUp Team which has just finished the second day of the Dutch Grand Prix. Alonso López amazed everyone with an extraordinary pole position determined during the last minutes of the afternoon qualifying. Fermín ended Saturday with an excellent fourth position, guaranteeing himself the second row for tomorrow’s race.
The day began with the third free practice session which allowed team 21 to continue testing the performance of the new tire on this demanding track. The madrileño finished in seventh position with a time of 1’36.440 just +0.440 from the fastest, confirming access to Q2. The progress that began yesterday allowed López to continue to improve astride his Boscoscuro bike and to score an amazing pole position in the afternoon’s qualifying with a time of 1’36.247, winning the front row for tomorrow’s race.
Aldeguer ended free practice in ninth place recording his best time on the sixteenth lap of the morning in 1’36.508, +0.508 from the first classified. Team 54 immediately started the final qualifying well and after the tire change they took a provisional third position. A few minutes from the end, Fermín’s best time of 1’36.481 arrived, unfortunately canceled by a yellow flag. The rider from Murcia will start tomorrow from the second row of the grid in fourth position, his best qualifying result of the 2023 season.
