GT TREVISAN SPEEDUP ENDS THE FIRST DAY OF FREE PRACTICES OF THE BRITISH GP POSITIVELY

The SpeedUp Team riders returned to action at Silverstone Circuit after the summer break, kicking off the second part of the 2024 season with GT Trevisan colors. López and Aldeguer had an excellent Friday, finishing in sixth and thirteenth positions, respectively.

In the morning free practice, Alonso recorded the thirteenth fastest time with 2’05.151, then showed more competitiveness in the second session with an excellent 2’04.087, securing sixth place.

Aldeguer finished the first outing of the weekend with the tenth fastest time in 2’04.815. In FP1, team 54 worked intensively on the Boscoscuro, changing the setting during the last pit stop. Although this reduced the number of laps on new tires, Fermín ended the day in thirteenth position with a time of 2’04.573, +0.971 off the leader.

ALONSO LÓPEZ #21: 6th in 2’04.087

I’m happy with today’s result, especially considering the difficulties we faced this morning. This afternoon, I managed to maintain a good pace and with the new tires we performed very well. Tomorrow, our goal is to find the fastest lap”.

FERMÍN ALDEGUER #54: 13th in 2’04.573

“This day didn’t go as we expected, even though we’re temporarily qualified for Q2. We had to make some changes to the Boscoscuro towards the end, which cost me a bit since I didn’t get as many laps with the new tires as others did. However, the adjustments proved to be correct, and now we need to work on braking and lines. Tomorrow, with a few more tweaks, we can definitely fight for pole position”.
