MB CONVEYORS SPEED UP

FREE PRACTICES: MB CONVEYORS SPEEDUP AT WORK ON CATALAN FRIDAY

The two free practice sessions of this Friday have opened the seventh round of the Moto2 World Championship at the Catalunya circuit, Barcelona.

At the end of the first day Jorge Navarro and Alonso Lopez classified respectively with the fifteenth and the thirtieth time.

Tenth time for Jorge in FP1 in the morning, signed at the end of the session in 1’44.437. In the second session of the Gran Premio de Catalunya Navarro tried some changes to the setting of his Boscoscuro bike but crashed in his fastest lap at turn 7 just a few minutes from the end of the session. His best time is therefore that of the morning which earned him the fifteenth position in the combined standings.

To replace the injured Montella is once again the young Lopez. Struggling with a different bike from the one ridden in the Moto2 European Championship, Alonso showed good adaptability, improving lap after lap. The number 2 closed the day in p30 with a time of 1’45.298 to +1.611 from the first.

JORGE NAVARRO # 9: 15th in 1’44.437

“Very strange first day because we went out with the test bike, in which we had achieved excellent progress, but there was no way to set the times we expected. We are working on the set-up, but in none of today’s laps I was feeling good. On the last exit, with a new tire, I was faster but in Turn 7 I crashed and lost the front when entering the turn. We have to analyze the data because I don’t understand what happened. We will continue to work and I hope tomorrow will be a better day than today!”.

ALONSO LOPEZ # 2: 30th in 1’45.513

“I am quite happy because I am gradually understanding more and more this bike which is completely different from the Boscoscuro that I am riding at the CEV. We are working well, with some improvements already at the end of this first day. I am trying to make the most of this opportunity that has been given to me. Tomorrow we will try some more changes to the setting to try to have a better feeling. I want to thank Luca for all this, mañana más!”
