ALDEGUER AND THE FOLLADORE SPEEDUP TEAM SECURE SECOND PLACE AT THE DUTCH GP, WHILE LÓPEZ FINISHES EIGHTH
A remarkable race day has just ended at TT Circuit Assen, with Aldeguer crossing the finish line in second place despite a long lap penalty, and López finishing eighth after a lengthy battle for top positions.
The number 54 of the Folladore SpeedUp Team started confidently from pole position, dominating the race until the race direction announced the long lap penalty. Fermín served the penalty on the sixteenth lap and, thanks to the previously gained advantage, returned to the track in third place. From there, he overtook compatriot Garcia and fought with Ogura for the victory, ultimately securing second place.
On the other side of the garage, Alonso positioned himself behind the top three Boscoscuro bikes right from the start. The Spaniard fought hard to maintain his position but as the gap to the leaders became insurmountable, he finished the Dutch GP in eighth place.
FERMÍN ALDEGUER #54: 2nd
“I’m happy with how today’s race went. I showed that I can fight for victory. I created a good gap at the beginning and, after the long lap, I managed to defend my position and stay competitive. Now we will analyze the critical points, especially with an eye on next year. Now we prepare for Sachsenring to give our best”.
ALONSO LÓPEZ #21: 8th
“I’m not completely satisfied; we could have done more. I couldn’t maintain my position or recover when I fell behind. However, we still finished in the top 10 and brought home some valuable points for the standings, but we want more. Now we focus on the next race”.
