INDONESIAN GP QUALIFYING: ALDEGUER AND LÓPEZ CONQUER THE SECOND ROW
The second day of the Indonesian GP has concluded, with Aldeguer and López securing the fifth and sixth positions on the starting grid, respectively, ensuring a place in the second row for tomorrow’s race.
Fermín impressed from the morning sessions, showcasing extraordinary pace and recording an excellent third time of 1’33.441 in the last available lap. During Q2, despite two laps being canceled, Aldeguer maintained a consistent pace, always turning under 1’33. With a time of 1’33.662, the number 54 secured fifth position and will start from the second row tomorrow, an ideal spot to attack right from the beginning of the race.
Alonso also showed significant improvement compared to yesterday, lowering his time during FP2 and finishing the session in P11 with a 1’33.944. Qualifying for Q2, López demonstrated great determination, finishing in sixth position with a lap time of 1’33.667. He will therefore begin his race from the second row alongside his teammate, both ready to fight for top positions.
FERMÍN ALDEGUER #54: 5th in 1’33.662
“This morning I almost fell, but I managed to stay in the saddle and finish third in the combined standings. In the afternoon, I maintained a high pace and I have to say that we are satisfied. The race pace is there, the feeling too. In short, we lack nothing to be able to do a great race tomorrow and, who knows, maybe even finish on the podium”.
ALONSO LÓPEZ #21: 6th in 1’33.667
“Today I felt 100% at ease riding my Boscoscuro. Lap after lap, I clearly perceived that the work we are doing is going in the right direction and that every adjustment is bringing the desired results. The bike responds exactly as I would like, and the feeling has improved significantly compared to the previous sessions. Now we just have to analyze the data collected today, but I am convinced that we are on the right track. If we continue like this, tomorrow we can have a really competitive race and get an excellent result”.
