ALDEGUER CLOSES THE FIRST DAY OF THE DUTCH GP IN THE LEAD WITH A NEW TRACK RECORD. LÓPEZ IN P7

The Folladore SpeedUp Team returned to the track for the eighth round of the season at the historic TT Circuit Assen, with Aldeguer and López finishing the first day in the Netherlands in first and seventh place respectively.

After an unlucky weekend at Mugello, Fermín showed today that he is in great shape. The young rider from Murcia topped the FP1 timesheets with a lap time of 1’35.912 on new tyres. Although Aldeguer further lowered his time by over two tenths on the last lap of the session, a yellow flag unfortunately annulled his true best lap (1’35.698).

Even Alonso had a positive return to the track, finishing the day with the seventh-best time of 1’36.383. Despite numerous crashes characterizing the session, the number 21 rider managed to stay focused and achieve a solid result.

FERMÍN ALDEGUER #54: 1st in 1’35.912

“During the FP sessions, I couldn’t find the fast lap, but in FP1, which is the important practice, I was in great shape. I started with used tires and, despite a couple of mistakes, I used the first part of the session to get my bearings on the track. With the new tires, I managed to set the fastest time and I have to say I didn’t expect to hit 1’35.6, although unfortunately, the time was annulled. I lacked a bit of consistency and will need to work on that. Right now, I’m calm and focused for tomorrow”.

ALONSO LÓPEZ #21: 7th in 1’36.383

“I’m satisfied with this first day. Today I tried several settings and they all worked very well. Tomorrow we will focus on the time attack to have a great qualifying and aim for the top positions”.
