MB CONVEYORS SPEEDUP
THIRD STEP OF THE PODIUM FOR LÓPEZ AND THE MB CONVEYORS SPEEDUP TEAM AT THE ITALIAN GP. ALDEGUER FALLS ON THE FOURTH LAP
The home GP race for the MB Conveyors SpeedUp Team, shortened due to an incident in Moto3, saw Alonso López and his Boscoscuro secure the third podium position. Fermin Aldeguer, after entering the points zone, was thrown off the bike on the fourth lap.
López had a lightning start and immediately stood out, finding himself in the lead after a few laps. However, a close encounter with Roberts and later with Canet caused him to lose precious time, sliding him into fourth position. With cunning and determination, however, Alonso managed to climb back to the top 3, crossing the finish line with a satisfying third place.
Aldeguer’s Sunday was less fortunate. Starting from P18, the young rider faced a challenging but not impossible race, as he had already gained several positions in just two laps. Once in the points zone, however, Fermin unfortunately collided with Alcoba, causing him to crash at turn 4 and prematurely ending his race.
The next stop in the Moto2 World Championship will be the DutchGP, scheduled for June 28th, 29th, and 30th.
ALONSO LÓPEZ #21: 3rd
“I was in the lead for most of the race and I never gave up, I fought until the end of the race. I am satisfied with the result because it places me among the riders competing for the world title at the moment. In the next few days I will continue to work hard to get to Assen with maximum concentration and in perfect physical shape”.
FERMÍN ALDEGUER #54: DNF
“It was a different weekend from what we expected. After yesterday’s neck pain which made us miss Q2, today I felt fit and ready to put in a good performance. The incident with Alcoba was difficult to digest. I had just passed the third lap when the accident occurred. It’s a shame because we were only at the beginning of the race. We must remain calm and continue in the same direction. Now it’s time to recover so we can come back stronger than before”.
