QATAR GP: IL BETA TOOLS SPEEDUP CHIUDE LE QUALIFICHE IN SECONDA E QUARTA FILA
Al Lusail International Circuit si sono da poco concluse le qualifiche del Gran Premio del Qatar. Con il quarto posto di Aldeguer ed il decimo di López, i portacolori del Beta Tools SpeedUp partiranno domani rispettivamente dalla seconda e la quarta fila della griglia.
Dopo un pit stop a metà delle FP3, il giovane Fermín è tornato in pista con il turbo conquistato la prima piazza in 1’57.895. Con il miglior tempo della combinata, il numero 54 è passato direttamente alla Q2 serale dove ha chiuso con il quarto tempo in 1’57.432, a soli +0.127 dal pole man. Il Murciano partirà dunque domani dalla seconda fila della griglia.
Inizio più complicato per López che invece è dovuto passare per le Q1 a causa della ventesima posizione nella classifica combinata (1’58.927). Il numero 21 è poi riuscito ad affrontare le Q2 dove una bandiera rossa a fine turno gli ha sfortunatamente impedito di concludere il suo giro veloce. Con il crono di 1’58.092, il Madrileno ha chiuso le qualifiche qatariote in P10 e domani inizierà la sua gara dalla quarta fila della griglia di partenza.
ALDEGUER #54: 4° in 1’57.432
“É stato un peccato aver sfiorato il parc fermé. Durante la prima sessione mi è mancato un po’ di grip in pista mentre in qualifica mi sono sentito super bene e infatti abbiamo tenuto alto il ritmo. Sicuramente ho fatto qualche errore ma che cercherò di aggiustare prima della gara. L’obbiettivo per domani è quello di concludere in top3”.
LÓPEZ #21: 10° in 1’58.092
“Sono contento con il risultato di oggi. Anche se ci sono state dei problemi in FP3, in Q1 siamo stati competitivi e abbiamo tenuto alto il ritmo. In Q2 poi siamo stati sfortunati perché, quando stavo per fare un giro lanciato, hanno sventolato la bandiera rossa interrompendo il turno”.

Qualifying for the Qatar GP on the Lusail International Circuit has just concluded. With Aldeguer’s fourth place and López’s tenth, the Beta Tools SpeedUp riders will start tomorrow from the second and fourth rows of the grid, respectively.
After a pit stop in the middle of FP3, the young Fermín returned to the track with the turbo, taking first place in 1’57.895. With the best time of the combined, the number 54 passed directly to the evening Q2 where he finished with the fourth fastest time in 1’57.432, just +0.127 from the pole man. The rider from Murcia will therefore start tomorrow from the second row of the grid.
More complicated start for López who instead had to pass through Q1 due to the twentieth position in the combined classification (1’58.927). The number 21 then managed to face Q2 where a red flag at the end of the session unfortunately prevented him from completing his fastest lap. With a time of 1’58.092, the Madrilenian closed the Qatari qualifying in P10 and will start his race tomorrow from the fourth row of the starting grid.

“Today I came close to parc fermé. During the first session I lacked a bit of grip on the track while in qualifying I felt super good and in fact we kept the pace high. I definitely made some mistakes but I will try to fix them before the race. The goal for tomorrow is to finish in the top 3”.
LÓPEZ #21: 10th in 1’58.092
“I am happy with today’s result. Even though there were some problems in FP3, in Q1 we were competitive and kept the pace high. Then in Q2 we were unlucky because, when I was about to do a fast lap, they waved the red flag and interrupted the session”.
