IL TEAM HDR HEIDRUN INIZIA LA STAGIONE 2025. LÓPEZ ENTRA IN Q2, MENTRE VIETTI DOVRA’ PRIMA PASSARE PER LA Q1

Il team HDR Heidrun ha ufficialmente dato il via alla stagione 2025 con la prima giornata di prove al Gran Premio di Thailandia, a Buriram. Nonostante la calura intensa, che ha messo alla prova piloti e team, López e Vietti hanno affrontato la sfida con grande determinazione, chiudendo rispettivamente in P10 e in P16.

Una delle principali novità di quest’anno riguarda il regolamento delle prove: la sessione di Practice del pomeriggio è ora l’unica sessione valida per determinare l’ingresso in Q2 del sabato. Questo ha reso fondamentale per i piloti concentrarsi sin dai primi giri per ottenere il miglior risultato possibile.

Il numero 21 ha ottenuto un decimo posto in 1’35.424, conquistando l’accesso diretto alla Q2 e confermando il buon feeling con la moto. Celestino Vietti, con il sedicesimo tempo in 1’35.548, dovrà passare dalla Q1 domani, ma è a soli +0.518 dal leader di giornata e non distante dal suo compagno di box.

Nel corso della giornata, entrambi i piloti hanno effettuato diverse simulazioni con cambio gomme, un elemento cruciale per comprendere la gestione della gara di domenica. La scelta della gomma giusta per le alte temperature dell’asfalto sarà determinante, e i dati raccolti oggi, insieme a quelli di domani, guideranno la strategia per affrontare al meglio la gara.

ALONSO LÓPEZ #21: 10° in 1’35.424

“Dato che non ho potuto partecipare completamente ai test, oggi abbiamo provato diverse soluzioni nuove e sto cercando di raccogliere tutte le informazioni possibili in vista della gara. L’obiettivo di oggi era sentirmi a mio agio con la moto e qualificarmi in Q2, considerando che questo è un circuito con molti rettilinei, che non sono il mio punto forte. Per domani mi sento positivo, anche se c’è ancora molto lavoro da fare. La mia priorità al momento è mantenere una buona costanza, quindi mi concentrerò su questo piuttosto che sulla pole”.

CELESTINO VIETTI #13: 16° in 1’35.548

“È stata una giornata complessivamente positiva. In termini di passo, non siamo messi male e, nonostante il calo delle gomme, riusciamo a mantenere una buona costanza. Devo ancora capire come sfruttare al meglio le gomme nuove, perché mi risulta difficile spingere nei primi due giri. Purtroppo, sono rimasto fuori dalla Q1, ma domani cercheremo di lavorare su questo aspetto. Nel complesso, il feeling con la moto è buono: riesco a spingere e in alcuni settori siamo veloci, anche se il T3 è quello più critico al momento”.

The HDR Heidrun team officially kicked off the 2025 season with the first day of practice at the Thai Grand Prix, in Buriram. Despite the intense heat, which tested both riders and teams, López and Vietti faced the challenge with great determination, finishing in P10 and P16, respectively.

One of the key changes this year concerns the qualifying format: the afternoon practice session is now the only session that determines direct entry into Q2 on Saturday. This made it crucial for the riders to focus from the very first laps to achieve the best possible result.

Number 21 secured a tenth-place finish with a time of 1’35.424, gaining direct access to Q2 and confirming his good feeling with the bike. Celestino Vietti, with a sixteenth-place time of 1’35.548, will need to go through Q1 tomorrow, but he is just +0.518 behind the day’s leader and not far from his teammate.

Throughout the day, both riders carried out several tire change simulations, a crucial element for understanding the race strategy for Sunday. The choice of the right tire for the high track temperatures will be decisive, and the data collected today, along with that from tomorrow, will guide the strategy to approach the race in the best way.

ALONSO LÓPEZ #21: 10th in 1’35.424

“Since I couldn’t fully participate in the tests, today we tried several new setups, and I am trying to gather all the information possible for the race. The goal today was to feel comfortable with the bike and qualify for Q2, especially considering that this is a track with many straights, which aren’t my strong point. I feel positive for tomorrow, although there’s still a lot of work to do. My priority right now is to maintain good consistency, so I will focus on that rather than aiming for pole position”.

CELESTINO VIETTI #13: 16th in 1’35.548

“It was an overall positive day. In terms of pace, we’re not in a bad position, and despite the tire degradation, we manage to maintain good consistency. I still need to figure out how to make the most of the new tires, because I find it difficult to push in the first two laps. Unfortunately, I missed out on Q1, but tomorrow we’ll try to work on that. Overall, the feeling with the bike is good: I can push, and in some sectors, we’re fast, although T3 is the most critical one at the moment”.
