BUON INIZIO PER IL BETA TOOLS SPEEDUP NELLE LIBERE DEL GP DEL GIAPPONE. ALDEGUER IN P7, LÓPEZ IN P13
A pochi giorni dal GP dell’Indonesia, i piloti del team Beta Tools SpeedUp sono tornati in azione al Motegi Resort Circuit per il sedicesimo round della stagione 2025. Nella prima giornata di prove libere, Fermín Aldeguer ha chiuso in P7 e Alonso López in P13, mostrando segnali incoraggianti nonostante le difficili condizioni della pista.
Aldeguer ha dimostrato subito un ottimo feeling con la moto, segnando il sesto miglior tempo nelle FP1 in 1’50.751. Tuttavia, poco dopo è stato vittima di una caduta ad alta velocità alla curva 7 da cui fortunatamente si è rialzato senza riportare conseguenze fisiche. Grazie al tempestivo intervento del team, Fermín è tornato in pista nel pomeriggio determinato a migliorare ulteriormente il ritmo e affinare i riferimenti, soprattutto con gomma nuova. Dopo il suo secondo run, il numero 54 ha infatti fermato il cronometro a 1’50.114 che gli è valso il settimo posto, assicurandosi momentaneamente l’accesso alla Q2 di domani.
Alonso, invece, ha chiuso la prima sessione in quinta posizione, con un tempo di 1’50.620. Nel pomeriggio, le condizioni meteorologiche mutevoli hanno costretto la squadra a testare diverse combinazioni di set-up ma nonostante questo, López è riuscito a migliorare il proprio tempo, registrando un crono di 1’50.269 che lo ha collocato al tredicesimo posto della classifica combinata.

“Il feeling con la moto è davvero buono, e sono fiducioso che domani potremo fare ancora meglio. In preparazione per domani, ho lavorato intensamente sui riferimenti e sulle traiettorie. Spero che il tempo tenga e che non piova perché il mio obiettivo è entrare nelle prime due file”.

“Le condizioni di pioggia ci hanno costretto a testare diverse configurazioni, in particolare per la parte posteriore della moto, con la quale stavo faticando a trovare il giusto feeling. L’importante per me era riuscire a entrare oggi nella Q2 provvisoria, perché alcuni piloti si adattano meglio al bagnato e non si può mai sapere cosa potrebbe accadere domani. Se le condizioni della pista sono normali, sono certo che possiamo migliorare notevolmente”.

A few days after the Indonesian GP, the Beta Tools SpeedUp team riders returned to action at the Motegi Resort Circuit for the sixteenth round of the 2025 season. On the first day of free practice, Fermín Aldeguer finished P7 and Alonso López P13, showing encouraging signs despite the challenging track conditions.
Aldeguer immediately showed great feeling with the bike, setting the sixth-fastest time in FP1 with a lap of 1’50.751. However, shortly after, he suffered a high-speed crash at Turn 7, fortunately escaping without any physical consequences. Thanks to the team’s swift work in repairing the Boscoscuro, Fermín was back on track in the afternoon, determined to further improve his pace and refine his references, especially with new tires. In his second run, the number 54 clocked a 1’50.114 lap time, securing seventh place and a provisional spot in tomorrow’s Q2.
Alonso, on the other hand, finished the first session in fifth position with a time of 1’50.620. In the afternoon, the changing weather conditions forced the team to test different set-up combinations, but despite some difficulties, López managed to improve his time, registering a 1’50.269, placing him in thirteenth in the combined standings.

“The rainy conditions forced us to test different configurations, especially for the rear of the bike, where I was struggling to find the right feeling. The important thing for me was to be able to get into provisional Q2 today, because some riders adapt better to the wet and you never know what could happen tomorrow. If the track conditions are normal, I’m sure we can improve significantly”.
