ALDEGUER BATTE IL RECORD DELLA PISTA E SI PRENDE LA POLE. CON LÓPEZ TERZO IL TEAM BETA TOOLS SPEEDUP FIRMA LA PRIMA FILA

Al Phillip Island Circuit arriva la seconda pole position della stagione del giovane Fermín Aldeguer che svetta in qualifica facendo suo anche il record della pista, mentre Alonso López è terzo a pochi decimi.

Già dal mattino di questo sabato australiano i piloti Beta Tools SpeedUp si sono dimostrati in gran forma concludendo la terza ed ultima prova di libere in p1 e p2. 1’32.616 è il miglior tempo della combinata di libere segnato da Alonso ad inizio FP3. Con +0.318 dal compagno di team, Fermín ha chiuso le libere in seconda posizione, anche lui assicurandosi le Q2.

Aldeguer e López sono stati poi i protagonisti assoluti anche delle qualifiche finali fino all’ultimo giro quando, a causa di due oche in pista, è arrivato lo stop anticipato della direzione gara impedendo ad Alonso di andare a prendersi la pole e a Fermín di migliorare il suo time, già record della pista, segnato ad inizio qualifica (1’32.233).

“Pole! Sono davvero contento, mi mancano le parole perché c’è voluto molto per tornare a questi livelli. L’importante è che abbiamo un buon ritmo per la gara di domani per poter raggiungere un buon risultato. Ringrazio tutta la squadra perché non hanno mai smesso di credere in me e di supportarmi, stiamo lavorando davvero molto bene in questo weekend e quindi che dire, continuiamo così!”.

ALONSO LÓPEZ #21: 3° in 1’32.543

“Mi trovo davvero bene con la moto, sono contento e fiducioso per la gara di domani perché credo che possiamo fare bene sebbene la penalità inflittaci. Mi spiace per la bandiera rossa, perché avremmo potuto chiudere il nostro miglior giro, ma per la sicurezza di tutti è stato bene così. Il long lap ci farà perdere circa due secondi, due e mezzo, ma abbiamo un ritmo eccellente e possiamo fare un’ottima gara!”.

ALDEGUER BREAKS THE TRACK RECORD AND TAKES THE POLE. WITH LÓPEZ THIRD THE BETA TOOLS SPEEDUP TEAM SIGNS THE FIRST ROW

At the Phillip Island Circuit Fermín Aldeguer seals the second pole position of the season in lap-record, while Alonso López is third within a few tenths of a second.

From the morning of this Australian Saturday the Beta Tools SpeedUp riders proved to be in great shape, finishing the third and last free practice in p1 and p2. 1’32.616 is the best time of the combined free practice times scored by Alonso at the start of FP3. With +0.318 from his teammate, Fermín closed the free practice in second position, also securing the Q2.

Aldeguer and López were also the absolute protagonists of the final qualifying until the last lap when, due to two geese on the track, the early stop of the race direction arrived, preventing Alonso from going to take pole and Fermín from improving his time, already a track record, set at the start of qualifying (1’32.233).

“Pole! I’m really happy, words fail because it took a long time to get back to these levels. The important thing is that we have a good pace for tomorrow’s race to be able to achieve a good result. ALONSO LÓPEZ #21: 3^rd in 1’32.543

“I feel really good with the bike, I’m happy and confident for tomorrow’s race because I think we can do well despite the penalty imposed on us. I’m sorry for the red flag, because we could have finished our best lap, but for everyone’s safety it was fine. The long lap will make us lose about two, two and a half seconds, but we have an excellent pace and we can have a great race!”.
