INIZIO POSITIVO PER CAG SPEEDUP: P3 E P14 NELLE LIBERE DEL BRITISHGP

La Moto2 è finalmente tornata in azione dando il via alla seconda parte della stagione 2022. Si è aperto con le due sessioni di prove libere del venerdì il weekend al Silverstone circuit in cui Alonso López e Fermín Aldeguer sono scesi in pista con i nuovi colori del team CAG SpeedUp.

Terza posizione a fine giornata per il numero 21 che si è dimostrato essere competitivo sin dai primi giri in pista. Bene le FP1 del mattino in cui Alonso ha chiuso con la quarta piazza a +0.579 dal primo adattandosi molto bene alla pista. Nella seconda sessione López ha continuato a dimostrarsi veloce segnando il suo miglior tempo della giornata verso fine prova in 2’05.129 che, nelle FP2 come nella classifica combinata provvisoria, equivale ad un ottimo terzo posto.

Giornata positiva anche per il giovane Aldeguer. Lo spagnolo ha concluso la prima sessione di libere in undicesima posizione con il crono di 2’06.533 a +1.124. Nei tre run effettuati nella sessione del pomeriggio, la squadra54 ha provato diverse soluzioni alla messa a punto della moto trovando un buon setting proprio a fine sessione in cui il pilota CAG SpeedUp ha abbassato di quasi un secondo il lap del mattino. Fermín ha così concluso la prima giornata del Gran Premio di Gran Bretagna in p14 in 2’05.669 (+1.096).

ALONSO LÓPEZ #21: 3° in 2’05.129

“Devo dire che mi sono trovato molto bene con la moto oggi. All’inizio mi sentivo un po’ perso perché questo circuito è super super difficile, ma diciamo che ho preso le misure quasi da subito lavorando molto bene con la mia squadra e trovando assieme una buona messa a punto. Sono molto contento perché sono abbastanza competitivo e credo che domani possiamo fare un salto con cui avvicinarci ancora di più alla testa della classifica!”.

FERMÍN ALDEGUER #54: 14° in 2’05.669

“Un primo giorno abbastanza complicato anche se alla fine siamo dentro alla provvisoria Q2. Più o meno contento di com’è andata oggi, dobbiamo continuare a lavorare per trovare il giusto feeling con la moto, ma siamo sulla giusta strada. Son certo che se avessimo fatto qualche giro veloce in più saremmo potuti stare più avanti della quattordicesima posizione, ma ad ogni modo siamo determinati a continuare il lavoro iniziato oggi!”.

POSITIVE START FOR CAG SPEEDUP: P3 AND P14 IN THE FREE PRACTICES OF THE BRITISHGP

Moto2 is finally back in action, kicking off the second part of the 2022 season. The weekend began with two free practices on Friday at the Silverstone circuit in which Alonso López and Fermín Aldeguer went on track with the new colors of the CAG SpeedUp team.

Third position at the end of the day for the number 21 who proved to be competitive right from the first laps on the track. FP1 did well in the morning when Alonso finished fourth with +0.579 from the first, adapting very well to the track. In the second session López continued to be fast, scoring his best time of the day towards the end of the free practice in 2’05.129 which in FP2 as in the provisional combined standings equates to an excellent third place.

Positive day also for the young Aldeguer. The Spaniard finished the first free practice session in eleventh position with a time of 2’06.533 at +1.124. In the three runs of the afternoon session, the team54 tried different solutions to set up the bike, finding a good setting right at the end of the FP2 in which the CAG SpeedUp rider lowered the morning lap by almost a second. Fermín thus concluded the first day of the British Grand Prix in p14 in 2’05.669 (+1.096).

ALONSO LÓPEZ #21: 3^rd in 2’05.129

“I have to say that I felt very comfortable with the bike today. At the beginning I felt a bit lost because this circuit is super super tough, but let’s say that I took the measures almost immediately, working very well with my team and finding a good set-up together. I am very happy because I am quite competitive and I believe that tomorrow we can make a leap with which we can get even closer to the top of the standings!”.

“A rather complicated first day even if in the end we are in the provisional Q2. More or less happy with how it went today, we have to continue working to find the right feeling with the bike, but we are on the right track. I am sure that if we would had done a few more fast laps we could have been ahead of the fourteenth position but, in any case, we are determined to continue the work we have started today!”.
